Hey Zoners!
Well, since my last post, things have settled down a bit. Eating in the Zone seems almost "natural" now and I'm doing way better with the measuring part now. Before, I wouldn't dream of attempting to "guess" at what 4 oz would be on a plate, but I find that my accuracy has improved. Also, I've gotten better at determining what I need to make up a perfectly balanced meal. So eating out has become infinitely simpler.
I have added regular cardio and resistance training to round out my days, and I have found that carb cycling and tapering and sticking religiously to a 6 meal a day schedule has allowed me to raise my calories and still lose weight. Of course, as expected, our weight loss has slowed down, but our B/F% is very good now and the continued loss of inches is quite encouraging.
Today, as I got on the scale, I am "officially" down 25 lbs! For me this is a true milestone. I just can't express how happy I am to have found the Zone! Suffice it to say, that like those that have gone on to other things, I guess I too am graduating. Thanks to all of you who helped me (so graciously) launch my successful weight loss journey.
