Default Nausea/Vomitting

Help!

I started to do Atkins this past Thursday...things were going ok until yesterday & this morning. All last night I felt very nauseous, and this morning I woke up vomitting. I've decided to switch over to SB, but for now, what do you suggest I do this morning? I'm hungry, and would like something other than eggs....basically, the thought of food right now makes me sick.

Thanks for any advice!

Are you certain that you aren't sick from another reason (virus, bad food, pregnancy?!)? If all that checks out, maybe write down what you ate before you were getting sick and then avoid those particular foods/brands for a couple days. I also got a little tired of eggs all the time for breakfast. What about turkey bacon with cheese and lettuce roll-up? You might also want to try finding low carb bread and have a single piece of toast with 2 tbsp of low carb PB. You could also do other breakfast meats with cheese and veggies. The recipe section here has some really good recipes, so try looking there.

Hope you start to feeling better soon!

Gosh I hope you are feeling better real soon.

You could try the One minute muffin. They are really good. I have one everyother day for breakfast. Just love them with my s/f syrup in them.

Calico is right...write down everything you have eaten...post it here if you want and we can have a looksie....Hope you feel better soon. Here is the link to the one minute muffin:

If your feeling sick you should see your doctor.

People don't normaly become nauseous when they remove sugars and refined flower from their diets.

I agree with Ed. Consult your doctor, since this is not an expected effect of the Atkins Nutritional Approach.

Thank you everyone for the advice! I've decided that I don't think it's from the foods I'm eating...I threw up again this morning (and no, I'm DEFINITELY not pregnant). This has happened both days after getting up & showering. And, I hadn't had anything to eat. I do drink a little water when I get up, and this comes right back up when I vomit - only liquid, obviously, because there's nothing else in my stomach.

Eating eggs is not appetizing at all for me lately, so in the morning I've had jello or pudding, and that seems to make me feel better.

I'm going to try the muffin later, maybe that'll help.

What do you think?

THANK YOU!

I love eggs, but NOT for breakfast. When I discovered lc hot cereal, and the one minute muffin, I started eating breakfast again. They are a lot more filling than eggs, for me, anyway. I don't get hungry until lunchtime when I've had either the cereal or the muffin.

Sounds like you might just have some sort of stomach bug; if you don't get better in a day or 2, go see the dr. And make sure you get plenty of liquid, so you don't dehydrate!

I have an intolerance to eggs, so I don't eat them more than once a week, and usually as part of a recipe since I tolerate them better that way. I usually have a small piece of cheddar cheese for breakfast and then have a snack a little later on.

Did you take a multivitamin when you got up? I know if I take mine any earlier than 15 minutes after I eat something, I get sick. Just a thought...
