| Welcome, Kate. In my experience, various folks have had various degrees of success with this plan. Generally, if there is a problem, it's with the "reward" meal. If it doesn't become an excuse for a daily carb fest and doesn't trigger cravings, then it might be a reasonable plan for you. Hope you'll make yourself at home.

| An acquaintence said she'd lost 30 lbs, which isn't bad. Drs. Hellers' book was the first LC book I read. I tried it for a few weeks. I lost weight, but I recall that I found it challenging to keep the reward meal in proportion, and I had food cravings. Subsequently, I found the Atkins plan to worked better for me because it was more straightforward and it really did curb the cravings.

| i'm new to this too i found dr. heller's book in the library and a few days of reading it i realized that i have the disorder, im trying it, i hope this would work. |

| Welcome, Chabita! A low carbohydrate eating plan can do a lot to help many disorders. Feel free to ask questions; there's a wealth of practical knowledge here - people who have had success following various low carb eating plans.
