Default I need some help, please.

Hi. I'm new on these boards and I need some information. I own and have read the South Beach Diet book and I have the food list book, but I can't find a listing for things like winter squash. I have finished my first two weeks on the Plan and am moving into Phase 2; am I allowed to have acorn and butternut squash? There is a listing for just "squash," but I'm sure there is a difference in rating between summer and winter squash. I don't care much for sweet potatoes and would like to substitute one of the hard squashes for potatoes if that is allowed. Do the hard squashes fall into the same category as pumpkin? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Winter squashes are in the same category as pumpkins. You may want to go to Fitday.com and look up the nutritional content on each variety.

Many thanks, Libby. I was afraid somebody would tell me that!
