Hiya Goddess Yep, I had made up my mind, I just needed to put things in motion. My body likes low carb eating much better than carbie stuff! I feel better all around. I'm gonna stay on the right road now. Thanks for the encouragement.

He Lisa, thanks for filling me in. Maybe I should rethink getting a treadmill.

Donna Do you have a used sports equipment store in your vicinity? Thats where I got mine. I was able to try out different models to find one that fit my needs and my budget. (That means I got a cheaper one. )The one I wanted was in the $700 bracket, used, but DH didn't want to spend that much money on something that might not get that much use, like most exercise equipment. I made a deal with him that I could trade up in a six months or a year of steady use. I know that I'll do it, so no big deal. Anyway, being able to try out different machines to find out what you like, be it elliptical or treadmill, is the easiest way to find something you'll use regularly. HTH

Good idea. I'll have to go to town to see if there is something like that. I live in a very small town....nothing like that here. Thanks for the ideas.

Hi, Donna. I'm looking forward to a "restart" myself, once the uproar in my life calms down a little. I'm trying to remember to eat, never mind making a healthy plan. Thank goodness for One Minute Muffins (a good start to the day) and salad-in-a-bag.

IMHO, a treadmill is the most versatile piece of home exercise equipment, and it pays to get the best one you can. My second choice would be an elliptical, but the elliptical I use at the gym takes a lot of concentration. The treadmill is a no-brainer. I can get a good sweaty workout and watch tv at the same time--something I find more difficult while trying to keep my balance and footing on the elliptical. Most people use their iPods.

Having an indoor exercise option is always a good plan.

Best wishes.

Barb: You've been through so much lately, girl. I can understand no eating. Ilove OMM's too....just don't have them as much as I would like. I rely on hard boiled eggs that are always in the fridge, and I cook up bacon by the pound and just nuke it when needed. As soon as you are settled in your new place, I know you'll get back to your routine.

I'm still waiting to hear from the lady on the ballteam whether she wants to sell her treadmill or not. If not, then I'll just buy a new one before winter comes. After all the walking I did last summer...then sat all winter...it seemed a waste of time. Not going to do that this year. I can feel a big difference in my abs, much flatter...even though the scale and the tape measure aren't moving.

It sounds like you are doing fantastic and are getting back on track.
I have been the same weight for months on end with no real drop in weight. So I was getting sloppy about what I was eating, so I can totally relate. I can also relate to your first post, induction, again, do I really have to? You already got your answer, but I am always thinking the same thing too!
Keep of the fantastic work! You can do it!!

Thanks Mab. I'm back in the saddle and plan on staying the course. Induction ain't so bad, once your mind gets around the change. I've got my head in the game, this time. LOL It's so easy to get complacent and lax. Been there, done that, may find myself there again. Just gotta keep on keeping on, ya know! Come join the LC party in the Induction Challenge thread!

Alright Lisa, now you can send some of your strenght my way! LOL.
I went on a binge last night and I need to kick myself in the pants and stop the nonsense!
I have been dancing around this for too long and then complaining I am not losing weight!
I am back on induction today and I am really not feeling motivated, so I am worried that I will keep slipping until I gain back the 46 pounds I have lost.
At least I can honestly say I have not gained any weight back. But I feel like I am playing a dangerous game!

Hi I have tried to get back on induction for almost a year now. I first did 14 days induction strictly and then stayed low carb without counting or being anal about carbs just stuck to the rules I added back spirits and diet coke as often as I wished but otherwise stuck to only allowed foods. I had no problem feeling fulfilled and slim after a loss of 50Lbs quiet quickly. I then went on a two week holiday on which I found my options were limited so i bent the rules a bit ( not too much but slightly) since then I have been slipping further and further off the low carb menu ( and not feeling guilty) which I did when i first started eating this way. Over the last 7 months i have added at least 20lbs back on my new clothes are now getting tight. I have attempted to go back to induction a few times but find it so much harder to stick to and so much easier to cheat on than the first time. Any advice would be fantastic. I do like to have a few drinks after a hard day at work so if that could be included in my menu it would be great. I love water but not too keen on too much exercise..
Thanks for listening
