| Morning, Ronda. We've had some members who have tried the Carb Addict's Diet, and the results have been mixed. The "reward" meal seems to be a problem for many, causing cravings throughout the day and resulting in excessive consumption during that reward meal. For diabetics (like myself), it's probably the worst LC option, since the aim is to keep BGL's low throughout the day and the reward meal tends to spike the blood sugar. Let us know how this works for you. For your mom, I'd certainly suggest that she read Dr. Bernstein's book, and the Atkins book aimed directly at diabetics.

| Thank you for your response Maggie. I might just have to check out Atkins also. I just know that I am finally determined to do something to lose this weight and keep it off for good this time! It's so nice to finally find a website with such caring people that want to help each other reach their weightloss goals. Have a wonderful day and I'll keep everyone posted on my progress.
