    Alright, I need advice.

Is the ACV a dietary supplement that I am seeing in all the stores these days?

My problem is retaining water and fatigue. Which would be best for me to try?

    Good luck all!!

Seesko, I would not buy the stuff you see at your local grocery or Wal-Mart. You need to get the *good stuff* -- the unfiltered with the *mother* floating in it (just don't look at it).
I, personally, use Bragg's brand as they are a name that I trust.
I DO think it helps with fatigue, but my primary reason for using it is to help regulate my blood sugars and reduce my achiness. And believe me, I can REALLY TELL the days when I have forgotten to take it!

    Thanks Summer!
Do you do both the water cure and acv? I have been researaching the water cure and the information is quite shocking. I do not know much about the acv. Where do you buy the good stuff?

    Good luck all!!

Well... I *DID* do both. I have not been as diligent about the salt since I became pregnant... I will have to get back to doing that seriously after the baby is born.

But I am TRYING to be diligent about the ACV. I now take 1 tablespoon, 3x/day in about 5 oz. of water.
You can buy the *good stuff* at your local health food store. You can also order it online.
My understanding is that the stuff at Wal-Mart and local groceries (for the most part) is completely useless.

It's pretty sour, so get ready to pucker up! But the taste kind of grows on you and I no longer have to hold my nose.

ok -- so I got my ACV from the HFS and will start tonight -- I also got some of the Celtic Sea Salt to try that. I think it might be a bit much to the system to start both at the same time so I will wait a week or so before doing the salt.

Is there a fibro thread here -- I have found that LC'ing has helped and am always looking for support for the special challenges fibro present.

Ok -- am I strange -- I really LIKE this -- did ACV with Stevia Plus.....yummy

Oh, I agree, give yourself at least a couple of weeks between the two!

No, we don't have a specific area for those of us with FM. We used to have a "general medical issues" kind of forum, but now the medical issues place goes onto the front page, so we can't do that anymore.

You can feel free to start a thread in this forum, though, if you want one specifically for FM sufferers to participate in.

Have you checked my site for info? If nothing else parts of my story are there. I'm working on updating it with a "fuller" story but haven't gotten it done yet...

I'm glad you are doing so much better!!!

    Blessings!

Nutlover, if you get any kefir grains you will have to change your name to Kefirlover.

To make your own kefir you have to get grains from someone. There are lots of people on this site that ship them out.

You should be able to find threads about kefir in the Cave-man Type diets forums. I'll see if I can find a link for you.

    Nutlover,

Which brand of ACV did you find at Kroger???

Does it say, "unfiltered, with the mother" ?
I was under the impression that the only stuff the regular groceries carried was the filtered stuff... but I know that Kroger is trying to *incorporate* a health food section into most of their stores, so maybe they do...
    I miss Kroger.
We have Albertson's here and they haven't caught on to the whole *health food* thang yet.

Barb, I like the idea of the name Kefirlover.. I can hardly wait to try some...Is it carried in stores like GNC or HFS.??

rho -- I'm not sure what to say? It is working for me

Nut -- I really like the Spectrum brand. I also use Hain. I've not tried the Braggs as it isn't readily available around here.

You should be able to get some kefir to taste at the HFS. Just be sure to buy plain, not flavored kefir.

Me -- I was just miserable yesterday!!! I'd had that horrible reaction to those chips (which ACV helped me through, thankfully!) then I started TOM a week early! I bloated up 20 pounds according to the scale at the club!!!

So, for the day I doubled my ACV all day and drank "PMS tea" plus ate very clean. I dropped approximately 13 pounds of it as near as I can figure. I'm planning on following the same protocols today. Hopefully, I'll drop the rest of it!

    Thank God for ACV

    Blessings!

ok -- I tried getting into your site again and wasn't able so on an off chance I switched browsers from IE to Safari and on Safari I can get it to work -- so I am going back there to check things out-- thanks

PS why do you think you had the large bloat problem? I've tried reading back but haven't seen a particular -- want to stay away from anything like that
