Sharron, I finally broke my stall. Yesterday I did an egg fast, but I also have been doing ACV for almost a week now. I don't know which to attribute it to, perhaps both. Whatya think? Whichever, I'll keep doing the ACV.

I've been doing Bragg's ACV for about a week now. I upped my "dose" yesterday eve before dinner to 2 tsp., and wow....within 15 minutes I had to , um, how shall I put this?...visit the sand box.(I'm a cat person)
Anyhoo, I have been taking ACV "straight"...I will take a sip of H2O and hold it in my mouth while taking a sip of acv, etc, til I take all the acv, then follow it all with a hearty 8-10 oz of purified H20. I was thinking of doing the big sea salt detox, but now I think I will stick with the acv. What's the concensus on this?
PS oops almost forgot...I'm down another 2 lbs this am, making a total of 6 lbs down since 12/26!!!!(doing strict Atkins induction again)
I'm gonna do it this time!!!!!

That is so wonderful, both of you!!!

I wish I could say the same.

Ever since I had that *stoopid* bar last week, I've been fighting with cravings, and not necessarily winning.

Barb, I'm thinking about doing an egg fast as well. I haven't been able to get the timing though. I can't today -- too busy, but perhaps tomorrow?

Still, I will say as I have a few other times -- I'm thankful for not GAINING while I was down with my foot and even showed a 2 pound loss (Just back to where I was.)

Just took my first dose of ACV for today

Blessings!

Give the egg fast a try, when you can. I really think it works. I did one a few months ago and broke a stall that way and I think I did one in the beginning. It really does seem to make a difference. I used mayo on my fried eggs in the morning and Atkins Ketchatomato Sauce with my softies. And drank, drank, drank ACV water and plain water. Then for dinner just have a normal LC dinner. I wonder if a Kefir fast would work..........hmmmmmmmm...I could do kefir smoothies all day long.

Wow! What great testaments!!!

Congrats to all... and good luck, Shelley! You CAN do it.

Hang in there, Sharron; this is a really tough time of year for many of us. I have so many emotional issues wrapped up in this time of year... I have not done as well with the eating, either, but neither have I done as badly. The ACV really seems to help!
Like you, all it takes is ONE poor choice (a bar, whatever) to send me in a spiral. But the ACV is helping me get back on & stay on track. And it's remarkable how it affects my blood glucose levels!!
And guess what?
I've got dh taking it now, too! Of course, I have to *fix* it for him... he won't actually go in there and pour it up himself -- LOL -- but he'll drink it if I do it!

Summer, LOL! Gotta love 'em - mine watched me make my ACV blend this morning, then said, "Let me try that!" Of course, he took a big whiff of it first, which will about knock you over - but went ahead and tried it. He says, "Oh, that's really good! I think I'll start adding that to my water!"

A little at a time, we wear 'em down until they're doing what's good for 'em.....

I love my dh, but he's a real, um, baby when it comes to stuff like this!!!

I give him his vitamins, water and acv fixed special just for him!!!

He won't do it himself, but he'll do it if I give it to him.

Hey, at least he's doing it!!!

Blessings!

Barb! I've been trying to figure out where you mentioned the egg fast to me. Here it is! I found it

I've done the egg fast several times, several ways. The first time was a 3 day long one. That was too much. The way I prefer to do it is through lunch, then a normal snack and dinner. Gets me into heavy ketosis right away and I usually drop 3-4 pounds right off! I do just scrambled eggs and coconut oil.

Sometimes I do an egg and kefir fast. Plain kefir. Unfortunately, I don't lose very well when I have smoothies, for some reason

Summer, I'm doing much better today, thank God!

I'm thinkin' the kefir may be stalling me out too (smoothies) and it's probably the fruit. I've tried doing them with just strawberry and coconut s/f syrup and that's really good too, with a smidge of Stevia. Maybe I'll do just the syrup ones too for awhile. I did eggs this morning and then had a couple of almond cookies for a snack and then ate dinner, wasn't all that hungry today (ACV???) For dinner I did pork roast, cabbage and a teeny bit of mashed rutabaga (looked up glycemic index, oh my!!!! almost as bad as potatoes. Only had about 1/4 cup-not too bad on the carbs ) I'm hopin' this losing trend will stick around for awhile and I jogged something lose. So I think the plan will be to do Kefir drinks with just syrups, ACV, eggs and lots of water. And of course a normal dinner. Although, tomorrow I am meeting Brenda and Ilse for lunch. I will be having the Grilled Chicken Salad, it's luscious. (sort of a fast food restaurant, but way better than McD's or BK) Can't wait to see the LC ladies from here. It's soooooo much fun to get together with them. I wish we could ALL meet, you have no idea.

So enough of my rambling,

A kefir (with syrup) and egg fast sounds VERY doable to me. Think I will give it a try on Tuesday, we'll see what happens. If it works, I might do it another day. Well.........better get a tad bit more water in before the bed starts calling my name......

How's everyone doing with their ACV?

I've started my own batch. The color is getting darker, but nothing floating on top yet.

I'm doing really well. I'm thankful for the added measure of control I get with the ACV + ketosis! I'm also doing my Body Flex. All that together I've lost 5 pounds and 4 7/8 inches in the past 3 days.

I'm pumped

Blessings!

Oh Sharron that's AWESOME!!!!! WTG girlfriend!!!!

This Holiday stuff has messed up my ACV routine (not that I had one firmly entrenched into my psyche yet, LOL) so now with all the Partying DONE, I feel like I can get at it on a regular basis. I did a whole tsp in 1 cup of water with some Stevia and gulped it down. It wasn't too bad. Otherwise I have been putting a TBS in my 16 oz. bottle of water and sip on it all day long. When I figure out what works best, I think I'll get a REAL routine going.

Barb - 30 lbs gone FOREVER!

Sharron, that's AWESOME!!!

Congratulations!

Hey Barb, you and I, both.
I have been taking it at least once a day, but for the past 3 or 4 days, not as regularly as I was before. I need to get back into my routine...

Shelley, I don't think there is a *set recommended amount*. I think Braggs suggests that you take 1-2 tsp. 3 times a day, which is what I was doing before the holidays hit...

I've got to get this into a routine - I forgot to take it before breakfast this morning!!

I actually LIKE the stuff - with a little squirt of that NF vanilla-flavored liquid Splenda concentrate, it's quite tasty!

Thanks Summer.
I can't remember how much Sharron's ND told her to take? Just wondering what the different reccomendations were.
I'm hoping my work schedule levels out a bit so I can get more in a routine with the acv. Sometimes, it makes me scurry for the sandbox...ya know?

Shelley
