Hi all -

I did some digging on Dom's Yahoo kefir site and came up with someone else who is concluding that kefir is causing her hair to go back to dark from gray. No one seemed to offer a theory but hey, if it works who cares why???

Interesting! Just offhand, I'd have to guess that if it worked for everyone, we'd have heard more about it in the kefir community. But I like the theory that kefir is restoring normal digestion and therefore some individuals are assimilating food normally and correcting some kind of deficiency which casued the graying. Either that, or the kefir directly providing some missing nutrient.

Hey, I'll let everyone know. Heaven knows, I have enough "test subjects" for a very large clinical trial <g>

That is the sort of theory I would assume, BC. That our bodies are getting more of what we need with improved digestion. Of course, if you have a dominant "gray" gene it would be pretty hard to overcome that!

oh dear see that i put the thank you for the welcome to site in the wrong thread.. yeah thats me.. still a bit do dally.....
but anyway that is how i come to this forum.. the kefir and hair colour post....

i just had to tell someone .. i have been on kefir for a little over a month .. i am digesting my food way better and YES i am seeing a huge inprovement in the colour of my hair.... yeah it really is looking like it is going from grey back to my natural..ginga.(bugger.. woulda liked a nice dark brown) but all is good...

Wow Barb that's incredible! How often do you shampoo with it? :wink:

god the way i am so excited about it .. i could start using it for shampoo.. i see on doms pages some are using it for a face mask and reccommending it
