After having been away form the forums for several months (shame on me) I have now returned but my user name has changed. I had to reregister, my previous was lost. I was pam conner previously, still am but new user name. I just woke my kefir grains back up from many months of frozen ZZzzzz's.
I am hoping to get back on track since I am coming up on my 1 year mark. I still look back and see that I am eating way better than I used to but not like I was when I started this WOL.

Have a great day everyone.

Pam

Hi, Pam!

Welcome back!

I'm glad you found your way back to lce. Plenty of places to get more grains here if yours didn't survive the "rest."

Nice to see you here!

Thanks Maggie and BC. So far the grains appear to be shaking off the extended slumber OK. When I changed the milk yest. they had a pleasent cheesy smelling aroma to them and were covered in curds. I will see how the next couple days go. I am pampering them with 1/2 and 1/2 to give'm a boost.

Hey GSD Friend,
I'm one too. I have two very old GSDs that rule our lives here and 7 Belgian Malinois as well. Do you give Kefir to your dog(s)? Mine all seem to like it but they have had yogurt almost since they were old enough to eat solid food.
