Hi Everyone,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you all.

Well, it isn't yet 2004 but I am making my resolution now, LOL

This is the year that I will finally crack my eating problems.

I have been unwell for months now. I have just seen a Neurologist and had an MRI scan and loads of blood tests and I have to have electro function tests on my legs and hands on January 4th because I still have the numbness in my legs, feet and hands.

I have my doctor's blessing to return to LC, so this time I am coming back to Paleo. The only difference is that I will still be eating cheese and butter.

My appetite is really non existant, but I don't lose any weight because I can barely walk yet alone exercise.

I have finished reading the Paleo book and it makes so much sence.....so wish me luck this time......you are always there for me and so supportive even though I keep changing my eating plans....

I am going away for the New Year with friends...(in a wheel chair, <groan&gt but I will stick to Paleo as far as I am able and I will be back on January 2nd and from then on I will want and need all your help.

Hopefully I will soon get back into the group and I look forward to 'talking' to you in 2004.

Take care,
love Louloo. x

Louloo,

I can't remember, did I tell you about the water/salt cure? There is a thread about it in the Everything Else forum.

Also, are you taking EFAs? Those two things do a tremendous amount for my fibromyalgia.

(((hugs)))

Blessings!

Hi Sharron,

It's nice to 'speak' with you again.

I hadn't heard much about the water cure so I have been browsing around and I have saved all the links to read after the New Year......we are away for 4 days from 30th December.

I want to wait for all the results of my tests before changing anything else. I should know what is happening by 17th January.....if not then I still have to have more tests, a spinal tap will be the next one.

Reading about the sea salt does worry you a bit when you have been told how bad salt is for you....it all takes some getting used to again, and the nerve to try these things....but I will keep an open mind and look into it in January when all my new eating plans should be under way.

Have you read the Neanderthin book all the way through, I thought it was brilliant and I am going to look at the web site for more info on what to eat?

Happy New Year everyone....I doubt if I will have time to come online tomorrow.....I will be cleaning and packing so that I come back to a lovely clean house, LOL.

Take care,
love Louloo. x

Nice to see you back Louloo. I was wondering how you were doing and now I know. Yes we will always support you and good luck with your tests.

Running this race to win...one day of training at a time.

Be blessed.

No, Lou, I've not read Neanderthin. I do a quasi-westonaprice. Only sorta though!

How's that for waffling!

At this point I do a bit of Go!Diet, Atkins with a bit of WestonAPrice thrown in for the fun of it. Works for me!

A spinal tap??? Eek!

Blessings!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the welcome, it is really nice to be back. I have had a few terrible months and I am holding my breath for the results of all the tests on Jan.17th.....Obviously I don't want them to find anything horrid, but I really hope that something will show the specialist how much pain I am in, then hopefully they can treat it and 2004 could be a good year for me and my poor family.

I have finished all the housework and sorted all the clothes for our trip to Llandudno in North Wales, I am looking forward to it even though I won't be dancing this year.....I have to take my wheelchair, <groan>, but I can have a smooch....our friends are brilliant and I know that we will all have a good time.

So again, Happy New Year to all of you, I will be back sometime on January 2nd so I will 'talk' to you again then.

Take care, don't get drunk but have a lovely New Years party.

Hi Everyone,

I am back. We had a great New Year in Wales, (UK), but I have come back with a chest infection....it was soooo cold and wet and we even had a bit of snow, but it was lovely....our Hotel was smashing, nice rooms, lovely and warm, right on the sea front, so we all had great views.

I have just unpacked and put the washing in the machine and I have hundreds of junk emails to sort through, but I wanted to say hello and that I will be starting my new Paleo WOE tomorrow......I didn't over eat too much, the food was not that good, which was a good thing, we were't tempted to partake of the goodies usually on offer.LOL

I hope that you all had a really good New Year whether at home or away and that you are now as keen as me to get on with this LC eating.....I was reading in the local paper that we are finally to have some low carb bread and other goodies in our local shops, so that will make things a lot easier.

Hope to 'speak' to some of you again soon.

Take care,
love Louloo. x

Hi Dryad,

Welcome back.......what have you been up to? Did you come off LC altogether? I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I have lost 4 pounds this week. It's not a great amount but I have a chest infection and I am back on steroids and antibiotics, so I find that I can't usually lose weight while on these things.

I have some results from my MRI scan as well....there is considerable damage to my lower spine and to the neck area....this may be causing the numbness because some of the nerves are suppressed. I go back on 15th to get all the results, but this is a start in the right direction........I had the nerve tests and they were not so bad as I had anticipated, but no results on these yet.

I will be back later, so take care.

Hi again,

I am having a read at the water/salt cure.....anyone else into this? I haven't read all of it yet so can't comment but would like to pick the brains of anyone that has read/used it.

Thanks,
Louloo. x

Hey Louloo -

I made a half-@ssed attempt at the water cure, but it didn't seem to do anything for me, personally. Other people have had amazing successes on it.

Hi Dryad,

I still haven't had time to read the water cure, but I hope to get back to my computer properly now that the holidays are over.

What happened with you and the water/salt cure then? I would love to hear your views, LOL

Speak again later,
love Louloo.x
