| I feel better throughout the day - no hunger pangs, in control of my eating, and think I am eating a realistic/sensible dinner (and dessert!) but am not seeing a real "pattern" of loss yet. Would like to see 1.5-2 pound per week (am about 50 pounds over weight in my mid-thirties so this seems sensible). I feel somehow that it *is* working - to control how I FEEL but am not seeing results. CAD since 8/24 194/190/145 "You must do the thing you think you cannot do" |

| WriterMom, I've heard that some people actually gain before starting to lose when switching to CAD from Atkins. Hang in there! Hopefully the loss will pick up soon. If not, try to focus on the benefits of how you're feeling and that you are still losing while eating yummy desserts. Debby 206.5/164.5/140? CAD/CALP since 1/12/13 |

| WriterMom, When I was on CALP to begin with, I lost a lot of weight the first month, about 45-50 pounds )back when I was 380 pounds). It took another 11 months to lose the other 50-55 pounds. Be patient. It helps not to overdo on the RM. There are other things that can be a factor. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=117457 Here is a link to some thoughts. I don't necessarily agree with everything on the list, but maybe it will help. Also, as you get older, to me it seems like the weight comes off more slowly. And, other things start to affect the loss (for me, like sodium and food sensitivities, or too many carbs in the RM).
