In my nearly three weeks of daily logging of my weight in the CAD book I have found that I consistently weigh more on Tuesdays. Every single Tuesday I weigh about 2 pounds more (knock wood) than at any other day.

Are weekly fluctuations like that common or is this just some odd coincidental fluke do you think?

Do you eat differently (i.e., more carbs, less water) on the weekends than during the week? Are you less active on the weekends?

I don't think I have a weekly pattern. More of a monthly, semi-monthly pattern. Up around TOM and mid-cycle.

If you're interested, I have an Excel spreadsheet that tracks my daily weight and my 7-day average and charts both numbers. It's neat to see the chart. Also, helps me on days when I go up because usually the average still goes down (if only a little). Just let me know and I could email it. For me it's way better than keeping track on paper.

Thanks for the offer Debby! Right now I am tracking myself in my palmpilot (which means that even more of my life is now wrapped up in there than ever!)

It is so true that daily weighing and weekly averages gives you a much better idea.

I'm sure you are correct about the weekend being a factor. Although I'm hoping that the pattern of the previous two weeks holds true and tomorrow I'll be right back down. It's just so odd to see that 2 pound jump three Tuesdays in a row.

I track my weight daily too. It seems like Saturday is a low day. But, if I made that my WI day for WW, it would probably been higher.

My hormones are playing games, so I am wondering if that is affecting my weight too.

How exactly are you tracking on the Palm? Any particular application?

I track my food and weight on my Pocket PC. I have a program that allows me to record exercise, food eaten, weight every week.

I also keep a paper journal.

I also record my weight on the "weight commander" program.

I had too many carbs yesterday, today is a "fat Tuesday" for me.
