I have had a slowwwwwwwww weight loss since on Atenolol for blood pressure. I requested to my Dr that I was losing slowwwwwwwww and that I was exhausted all of the time..He took me off slowly and now wants me to try LOTREL... Has anyone tried this medicine??? was wondering if it slows weight loss too. If I could lose the weight, I wouldn't need the medicine...

I don't know anything about the medicine you are referring to. In the "Atkins for Life" book, there is a list of medicines that can affect your weight loss. Other things that can influence weight loss is: how close are you to your goal weight, your age, salt intake, and what you eat every day. And, sometimes, bodies just need a chance to rest and recover from other problems. Also, sometimes, if you have a damaged metabolism, the damage has to heal before you can start losing weight again.

It might help if you post several days of menus to see what you are doing. Are you on CAD?
