I ran out of my small bottle of Davinci's SF chocolate syrup about 2 weeks ago. I have been trying to find some more with no luck. I did find many flavors of Torani SF at Cost Plus in the Chicago area ($5.99 for a big bottle-750 ml)

Yesterday, on my way to pick up pizza for my husband, a little voice told me to stop at Jewel, a local supermarket, to look for the SF syrup. I looked in the coffee section, then was standing there, trying to figure out where else to look. A girl asked me if I needed help, so I told her what I wanted. (She asked me if I had been a substitute teacher at a nearby high school. I told her yes, that I actually stilled worked there. She told me how great I looked compared to this time last year when I was 311 pounds.). I mentioned to her that I thought maybe Jewel would have some Atkins products and maybe there would be some SF syrups there, so she called to check what part of the store stuff like that would be. We went to the aisle we were directed to (in the Osco section, where they have Slim Fast, LC bars and other diet foods). I found Atkins SF chocolate syrup. It seemed pricey at $5.99 for a 12 oz bottle, but at least I have some now. It gives me the freedom to look around some more or order from the internet without being out of it. They had 2 other Atkins flavors too.

Kokle,

For Sugar Free syrups you might try to find a store that sells to restaurants. When I lived in California there was one called "Smart and Final" and now that I am in Seattle, I have found the same store but by the name of "Cash and Carry". They have a whole aisle of sugar free syrups. Several brands including Torriani and the large size is a mere $3.29! I have found that the chocolate Davinci brand is the best! Davinci also has a sugarfree pancake syrup that is sold in the same large size and the SF flavored syrup for the same low, low price.

Happy shopping!

We drove out to Rockford, IL, about an hour away to see if they had any SF syrups at a restaurant supply store we knew of out there. They did not have any SF syrups, but they did have some interesting frozen veggies.

We also went to Woodman's Food Market in Rockford. They had the Atkins syrup cheeper than Jewel. So, I will return the bottle from Jewel, as I bought two at Woodman's. They also had Walden Farms SF chocolate sauce. Woodman's has a bit of Davinci syrups in the small bottles, but only a couple of SF varieties. They also had Torani syrups, but they were more costly than at Cost Plus.

I realize that you probably already found chocolate SF syrup by now, but another suggestion as to where to look: Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or Ross stores, in the gormet food sections.
I regularly find chocolate and vanilla at Marshalls and TJ Maxx, $5.99 a large bottle.

Ilse,
That little voice can be pretty effective sometimes! Unfortunately, sometimes mine talks me into Taco Bell. I haven't tried any of the syrups yet, but gee, there sure look to be a lot of great recipes with them.

My little voice had the snot beat out of it by Taco Bell. It no longer mentions it.
