I am in my third week of CALP - have lost a few pounds, and feeling pretty good,as far as no cravings, and energy levels. I have lost 30# previously on ww,and gained about half back. I am looking for some good recipe ideas, too.

The recipes are back on this board. http://lowcarbeating.infopop.cc/recipe_category.php There are also a lot of good ideas at thia website http://www.suzannesomers.com/Communi...um/Default.asp Not all will be LC, but many are. I hope this helps. Ilse 380/304.6(WW)/229.5(current)/154 5'7" "It's kind of fun to do the impossible" Walt Disney

Hi Amy, Welcome and congrats on your success so far! Are there any particular kinds of recipes you are looking for? I'm always looking for new ones myself. I've been mostly on the lookout for different things to try for CM's. I found a good soup one the other day. It's a little bit down the page on this board. Amy

I am interested in real food recipes - meaning soups, chicken, beef, stir fries, salads. I don't care for the "fake" pancakes, muffins, etc. I'd just rather have the real thing for my RM. I don't mind using soy flour, or tofu. But I'd rather make things the whole family can enjoy . My two LC meals per day are pretty simple, cheese or turkey, salad or raw vegetables. Shake mix for breakfast. I saw some of the drink mix recipes, and they look great. I just bought some SF koolaid - so hopefully i'll get to try a fruity shake tomorrow. I also saw the meatball spinach soup recipe someone posted - sounds really good!

Hi, I'm new here too & just found this forum through my ediets newsletter. I have been trying to lose this extra 15 pounds for going on two years now. I have tried just about every diet they offer, including Atkins, & failed. I am a true Carb Addict & find it very difficult to give up bread & sweets. I don't like the Atkins bread nor a lot of the low carb products, but I know that if I am to lose the weight, this is the plan that I have to follow. I thought maybe some of you veterans might give me some encouragment that even an "addict" can succeed! ![]() <IMG src="http://atlas.imagemagician.com/images/carolo/Others/Evesxcats.gif">

Eve, Welcome to the forum. I hope CAD works for you. The most important thing to remember is to keep the RM balanced and avoid carbs during the CM and CS. I post a journal every day. I do a combination of WW and CALP. I was experimenting recently with extra hi-grain carbs, but I don't have anymore, so back to CALP basics. You are welcome to check the journal out, if it helps give you ideas. Ilse 380/304.6(WW)/229.5(current)/154 5'7" "It's kind of fun to do the impossible" Walt Disney
