Hello, all! I'm back.

On October 10th I switched to Atkins. Lost 10 pounds on induction and all of my cravings. I was totally amazed.

BUT, (and you knew there had to be a but coming, right?) I didn't really feel any better than when on CALP (like I thought I would). Also, after six weeks of Atkins, I realized that for me (for right now) Atkins is not the program for me. I will not say that I will never go back (I've learned to never 'say never'... always gets me in trouble), but I know that for now CALP is where I belong. It is so simple and works well as long as I follow the rules.

I switched right before Thanksgiving... but then the Saturday after Thanksgiving the leftovers got the better of me, so I have been off-program ever since. My actual weight is up 3 pounds, and my average weight is up 4.2 pounds (some of that might be impending TOM).

Today I am recommitting to this EP (eating plan). I WILL do this! I am eating better (and hopefully losing again) starting today. Getting back to drinking my water (never thought I'd fall of the wagon with that). And, after the holidays (just too crazy right now), getting back to exercising.

Thanks for being here to keep me honest and help keep me on track. Please wish me well, as I do all of you.

Debby,

Welcome back. Keep checking in here and we will all encourage each other.

I know this time of year gets a lot more hectic. I am avoiding parties that might lead me astray. But, there are temptations at home too. (sigh!)

I still have to figure out what doing through
"The Change" is going to do to my system.

Welcome Debby! I'm still finding this WOE so much easier. Last week my average loss was .33lb. Not much at all, but it's a loss! In previous weeks I'd lose 3 pounds and the next week gain 5, so I will take the 1/3 pound and run!

Keep posting, I know that I will be as I need the support to make sure I'm doing this right.

Karen
