I have been reading your journals. You are doing wonderfully! Your weight is coming down again What do you attribute that to? What have you changed?

You're doing great - just wanted to let you know.

    Karen,

I am no longer doing CALP. I have started doing Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover on January 17th. (he's the fitness guru on
ABC's "Extreme Makeover") It's a very structued WOE, with 6 small meals a day, no added fat or salt (although I have added flax oil).

For my body type: Breakfast and morning snack are a bit of protein and a bit of fruit. Lunch and afternoon snack are a bit of protein and a bit of carb. Dinner is a bit of protein, a bit of carb, and some veggies. The evening snack is some fruit. Certain veggies are free. I am supposed to keep to certain lean meats, certain carbs, certain fruit. I am supposed to eat every 2-3 hours. And, I am supposed to eat more just before I work out.

I saw him on QVC one morning and I actually had my wallet in hand to order. At that point I was so desperate to lose weight, I was going to try it. But I never ordered. It sounds interesting and looking at your journal today, you're doing very well!

Are you hungry at all? It looks like a lot of food, written down. You're going to be at 154 before you know it!

Keep it up - hope you'll still be available for support for CALP?!

    Karen,

As of this morning, I have lost 9.5 pounds in 2 weeks. Also, I have lost 9.95 inches in the same time frame. On the 17th of January, when I got the kit, I was 233. Today, I am 221.

It may seem like a lot of food, but I am eating 2 oz or so of meat or fish at a time (usually). I do eat a lot of veggies, but I did that with CALP too. That's supposed to be the "beauty" of the program, small, frequent meals that are supposed to get the metabolism going again.

Yes, if I see any posts on the CAD forum that I can answer, I will certainly try to do so.

In the mean time, as I feel "homeless", I am mostly posting in my daily journal and in the Veteran's forum.

I found a couple of pictures of myself at a much higher weight. I posted them in the Veteran's forum for this date, January 31, 2004.
