| How is everyone this week? I hope all is well. Well... I'm down 0.5 on actual and 0.4 on avg. Not too bad considering the week I've had. I've been having trouble staying on plan. This is what I've decided. I think that I'm focusing too much on my eating and that throws me off. Weird, I know... but I think that's the case. This EP (eating plan) is so simple, and I tend to overfocus. So... from now on, I will still weigh every morning but will log it on a memo pad and then only enter it into the computer once a week. I am not going to journal my food any more either. I need to make this the way I eat... my WOL. I'm hoping that by letting up on the above (recording things) it will make it seem more like just how things are... instead of a big deal. Does this make any sense? I'll commit to this for at least 2 weeks and see how things go. Along with this, I have decided that I need to only check in here once a week as well. If there are any postings in this forum, I will get them through email so that I will not be abandoning anyone who may need help here. I still want to be a resource, in case I can be of any help/encouragement. I think I just need to do this to make this more of a WOL for me. I hope everyone understands. | Hi Debby! Sorry I've been absent lately. I had a good week last week, 2lbs lost. BUT....I think my scales were lying to me, even though they read the same weight 3 days in a row. Because today and both Saturday & Sunday too I was up 3 lbs. <sigh> with no reason for it. I understand what you're saying about making this a WOL and not worrying about it. I am actually obsessed about it. I tell myself, don't worry, relax, the weight will come off. Well, I constantly think about what I'm eating, how much I'm eating, what if I ate the wrong thing, what if, what if, what if. Ughhhh! I have to stop. The plus side to this, I pulled out a pair of shorts from last summer that are now really baggy on me Hope your week goes well, good job on the loss. Even when I have small ones, I'll take them! | Karen, Good job on the 2 pounds! Woohoo! Maybe your scales were lying about the 3 pounds up?!?! I've been obsessed about it, too, and it's time to stop! Wow! That's great about the shorts... I'm sure it's because you're exercising. I'm just starting to get back into a routine with that. It's hard with the way our life is right now, but I decided I just need to do it.

| Hi Debby and Karen, I've been out of town this week on business, but weighed on Saturday before I left town. I was down 2 actual and .4 average. I almost made up for the vacation gain. I just got back home this evening and dread stepping on the scale in the morning. This week was hard with catered high-carb lunches everyday and restaurant dinners every evening. I definitely did not do as well as I could have, and 3 drinks for my birthday dinner last night probably didn't help. At least I've got a few more days before I have to check in again. I know that I MUST start getting some exercise. That's the only think that's going to kick my butt in gear! I hope the rest of everyone's week goes well.
