Default South Beach Diet Phase I

:fork: I have tried all low carb diets, the zone, atkins, however really like SBD because you it does not require "special" food, and is easy to shop for and you can actually eat until you are full. Also I like the "low fat", which has to be better for your arteries and kidneys. I lost 60 lbs in 5 months on SBD back in 2001, I did add daily walking to that as well. I hate to say I gained it all back in the past few years, too many stresses and started back on the carbs and back came the weight. Started back on the SBD last week, as I know it works and am feeling great....also walking daily. I would like to ask all the persons on SBD if they have any ideas for breakfasts in Phase I, I am really getting sick of eggs and would love to hear what people are eating for breakfast. Typically, I do not like breakfast but know it is something I have to do. Any ideas are welcome.:jump:

I am a new dieter. I really need to lose weight. I just order the SBD book. I have ordered a gazelle exerciser that should be here next week. I am short and way over weight and I want to get back to being small. I have never got on a chat line before but thought it would give me some support....B

I'm not an egg eater at all so breakfast tough for me too. Celery with cream cheese, sliced ham or canadian bacon rolled up with LF swiss cheese and microwaved.

The one thing that I really liked (it sounds gross but stay with me here...) are tofu omlettes. This is kind of a cheat because the book says to use soft and if you do that you have a runny disgusting mess. I use half a block of the extra firm, chop up and mix in bell peppers, ham, scallions, and feta cheese. Add a little pepper and tabasco sauce and serve. I'd have to go back and look at the book to make sure this is all legal for phase 1 but I know it's good for phase 2. Good luck.
