| Well, I did 32oz of cran-water. The rest of the day was pretty good for LC except the 2 apples I had late at night. I still need to buy lemons. I didn't have popcorn or soda at the movies. (I did have Diet-Rite at school) How are you guys doing?

| Ilse - I use carb countdown rduced fat milk in my coffee. I know dairy isn't allowed but I'm not doing all of the FFP. CrazeeKat - Coffee tasted good but not 10 dollarsa pound good. But then what does? My whoel foods market is about 4 miles away so frequent trips are easy. They are far from cheap on most things. I think it was Charski who referred to them as "whole paycheck". I had my first cup of organic coffee and I just HAD TO HAVE a second cup. Bad but good. I increased my cranberry juice strength to 1 cup per quart and had the flax meal as a cereal mixed ith SPI and oat bran and cinnamon. But just 1/3 cup total. Still drinking the lemon and hot water. I am getting to like it a lot. The lemons I got at aldi are big enough to get 3 tbs lemon juice per lemon. |

| I did horrible yesterday. I spent many hours preparing for my aerobics class which physically drained me and then had to teach that night. By the time I got home my body and mind was completely spent. The only thing I did that was "on plan" was drink my water. I didn't prepare any cran-water or lemon water. Now I'm feeling it today. I feel sluggish and sorta weak. Eek!!! I'm not going to dwell on yesterday. Today I'll be better. I will drink my cran-water (32oz) and have my lemon water as well. For BF, I had a smoothie (SP recipe- yogurt, peanut butter, ice, bananna, and I added flax meal) I know it is not a FF meal, but I'm still reading the book in order to get all details before fulling committing. Rob, you're brave with the cranberry juice. I still pucker when I drink the cran-water at the weaker strength. I still need more time with the lemon w/hot water. Ilse, congrats on NOT having popcorn. That is such a weakness for me. Thank you for the info about the Whole Foods market. I guess I'll have to research for alternative for myself. |

| Adding Stevia helps but I usually don't bother. If you have not made up the cran-water in advance just take a measuring cup and fill to the 1 cup mark. Then remove 2 tbs of the water and replace with 2 tbs of cranberry juice. That will duplicate the lower strength of cran-water. Just do the same thing with 4 tbs for the higher strength. |

| I add Stevia Plus to my lemon water as well as to the cran-water. Very tasty! A couple more days of "Atkins" and then on to being more strict (with FFP)! Rob, it's nice to have Whole Foods so close. I have to make a production out of going to it (or so it seems). I've been trying to figure out what format I want my paper journal to have. I am not happy with the ones I can buy from Weight Watchers, but I am still using one I bought from them in the spring. I do think have a paper journal is useful.

| I did go out to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market. I even stopped at Costco, with the intention of getting lemons, but they didn't have any. At Trader Joe's, I got another bottle of cranberry juice, not because I was out of it, but why have to make a special trip later? At Whole Foods, I got some flax seed in bulk and some almond milk. I did get way-layed with some of the snack samples they had out, like chocolate cake samples, chips of different types. They had Knudsen's Cranberry Juice on sale. I think it was $4.49. How are you doing, Rob and Kelli?

| Okay, I officially started the FFP today. I'm going to follow it to the letter... well, almost. The plan doesn't allow for many spices. I ended up using a little bit of sea salt on my eggs. I also added cayene pepper, but I HAD to use salt. I've got a question. When preparing the LLC, are we suppose to use the 8oz of cran-water from the 64 oz we are suppose to drink daily or are we suppose to prepare an additional 8oz of cran-water AND drink the 64oz? I was just wondering. I also had the hot lemon and water. Ilse, I took your cue and added a bit of Stevia plus. It was great. I had it in place of my coffee. I just imagined that I was having lemon tea. So far so good. I can tell I'm going to have to make another trip to the health food store. I still need a few more products. But overall, I feel okay. I'll see how my energy level is tonight. I've got to teach a class tonight. |

| Kelli, In the Fat Flush cookbook, the author does allow for a bit of sea salt. She recommends it be put on the food after cooking, as it will lower the sodium content. As you cut down on salt, you will get used to it. I had cake at school today. I was thinking, if you are teaching aerobics, you many need to add in some friendly carbs from the start.

| Ilse, THANK YOU for telling me about the sea salt. I do plan to cut back, but I have to wean myself off the salt. I didn't use much, but alittle goes a long way in food. So far so good...I didn't have coffee this morning and I thought I'd be slammed with the headaches. I feel a bit thirsty and hungry, but other than that...perfect. I do believe I'll increase my "friendly carbs." I remember right after trying the SP I felt so energized during my TURBOKICK class. I knew then that my body was screaming for more carbs (good carbs.) |

| Well, Kelli and Rob, This is day one of FFP for me. I toasted my flax seeds this morning, otherwise too many of them can be toxic. I checked on the FF forum and I need to grind them first, then measure the tablespoon. I don't have lemons yet (I forgot yesterday after work, but I do have a bit of that lemon concentrate. Not ideal, but probalby ok, unless I want to run out to a store this morning in the rain. (not dressed for it). My choice in having cake left me: fairly hungry the rest of the day, feeling really lousy, gave me a 1 pound bloat. I weighed myself, took my measurements. I am ready to make either a LLC or a smoothie with the same ingrediants (I lean toward the smoothie) I was looking at rebounder websites and think I know which one I should get, (If I can afford it). Maybe I could talk to my doctor about it and see if she could prescribe one (sounds good!) The one I think I want is very pricey, but it's supposed to be the best one. This is the web site I was looking at www.bouncewell.com

| Salt on eggs is a must! also on steaks and burgers, at least for me. But I've been using sea salt for the past 5 months. I'm still sticking to the one cup of organic coffee rule. But I've started making it stronger. Is that cheating? What does ALG say about herbal tea? I have some ginseng tea and some fruit based teas. I have given up my Earl Grey :crying: tea because what would be the point of giving up coffee, only to replace it with tea. Still on the cran-water and the long life cocktail. I guess at this point I can just do the long life cocktail, using the cranberry juice, twice a day. Isn't that what the book said? I'm thinking of adding GLA to my already long list of supplements. |

| The LLC is supposed to be 8 oz of the 32 oz of cran-water. I just checked the book. In the FF cookbook (I think), she allows one cut of Dandelion Root tea.(Alvita make some) Other teas should be save for Phase III. She says that you could have one cup oif coffee in the FFP (IN FAQ), but then give many reasons for avoiding it (as the coffee puts stresses on the liver and that's what you are trying to heal)

| I didn't do too well at the end of yesterday. I got a bad headache; I was hungry and felt a little light headed. I ended up eating more carbs in form of fruit. I know we're only suppose to have one serving, but I ate 3 servings. I'll try to do better today. Wow, I JUST reread a section in the book that reads, "Withdrawals from caffeine and sugar in particular can include symptoms as headache, fatigue, irritability and even INCREASED hunger." Now I know why I felt that way yesterday. I didn't have my coffee. Bad news is...it typically takes 5 days to dissappear. Eek. So far today, I've had my LLC, hot lemon water, breakfast w/2 eggs and veggie, cran-water and 2 evening primrose supplements. Again, no coffee... I did weigh this morning. It was a pound increase from last week. However, I think it could have been from all the fruit I ate yesterday. I'm not going to worry about it. I will take my measurements later. I'm also going to track all this in my journal. Rob, I haven't found anything in book about the suggested strength of the coffee. I always figured you can adjust the taste or strength to your liking. Are you guys having trouble drinking the LLC. I've tried it w/flaxmeal and with psyllium husks. I drink it with a straw and I still gag at the very end. Flaxmeal and the psyllium don't mix very well. |

| Kelli, You should have either ground flax seed or psyllium husks, not both. Also, in the Fat Flush forum, they advise against using ground flaxmeal, as that is too finely groiund and won't give you the cleansing that you want: "Flaxmeal is not the right consistency for use in our LLC. We're looking for a coarser, more textured quality to better "scrub out" the intestines. The flaxmeal, being more powdery, would be great for baking, but not as a fiber/cleansing agent." Some people will use the ground flax seeds as a addition to their salads, as a dip for fruit (mix a bit of flax oil with some cinammon, dip an apple in this oil, then into the ground flax seed and eat. As far as the fruit goes, you can have 2 servings of fruit on Phase I, II, and III. I add the ground flax seed to my smoothie and drink the cran-water separately.
