Talking Just checkin in to say HI

Hey there cave folk!! Its been pretty slow here lately so thought i'd pop in and say hi--whats up??

I got my kitchen painted today and all our new windows are finally in!! YAH Now we need new trim--maybe will just paint over the old for now. My raspberry bushes have started to get buds and the rhubarb is already up and growing. YUM
I'm trying to plan what i'm going to plant in the garden this year, usually just the basics lettuce, broccoli, radishes, peppers, tomatoes, cukes and onion. I thought maybe i'd try one thing new this year, just don't know what yet.

I am IMpatiently waiting for my dehydrator to arrive--can't wait to try that jerky!! I could use a new snack item besides those yummy almonds.

I'm trying to incorporate some more aerobics in my exercise to lose that fat!! Shorts season is upon us and i need to get lookin good!! LOL

Well, hope everyone had wonderful weekend

    Hi Kelly,

I agree that this board is slow at the moment, so many people that used to post have disappeared......I wonder why!

Good on you to have got your kitchen done.........we have just finished doing our kitchen too and it looks great, I am so pleased with it.

I have never tried planting veggies......most of my garden is laid to patio but I could plant some small things in pots, that would contain them and hopefully keep a lot of the grubs off as well, LOL.

The raspberries and rhubarb sound lovely, I love both of them. Do you freeze them down to last all year? I don't have a dehydrator and I wouldn't know what to do with one anyway. It seems that the Brits don't use them as much as anyone else.......I shall have to find out what they are about.

    Take care,
    love Louloo. x

    Hey Kelly and Louloo -

Summer squash is a great addition to the garden - and grows really well in pots! We love them picked very small and tender. Doesn't take long to stirfry them. yum!

I'm not planting as much this year. I have daikon radish, strawberries, blueberries so far. Last year my tomatoes nearly took over my yard so I got tired of them. I'll probably plant some onions and broccoli. Always plant cucumbers and zucchini.

got some roses and other flowers planted today.

    Hey, Bear,

    How was the wedding?

For my gardening this year, I'm concentrating on making things look good, but I do hope to do more foraging for wild foods. I'm very impressed with all of your gardens!
