I'm surprised that no one has posted yet for this week. I, for one, have been busy preparing for a week-long conference in Washington, DC, where I will be teaching an all-day seminar and then presenting two papers (one of which I haven't even started to prepare!) It also involves lots of meals with old friends and colleagues. I'm fairly confident that this woe is enough of a habit that I can avoid slipping too much.

So, for my numbers for this week. No change, I'm afraid. I just seem to be one of those S L O O O O O W losers. I read complaints about losing "only" 4 or 5 pounds per month. I seem to be lucky at 2! And, except for the first few days of water loss, the whoosh fairy has never visited. But I'm happy, feel good, and am not hungry. And my slacks are nearly falling off me today. So I guess I'll stick with it.

I hope everyone else is doing well this week. Tell us how you're doing.

UGH!!! I just typed this long reply and now POOF it's gone. I'll try to duplicate it.

Laly, glad to hear things are going well for you... even though you're not losing as fast as you might like. Hang in there! ... and be sure to wear either a belt or suspenders You seem to be settling into this as a WOL, which is great!

I know Karen's been really busy at work. As for me... well, I really just don't want to talk about it, but I suppose I should. Last week I was up 3.0 on my actual and 1.8 on my average. Definitely more than I should be. Problem is that I'm having a hard time following CALP... often for either breakfast or lunch, protein/meat and veggies just seem to heavy. SO, I've fallen back into some old habits (pregnancy excuse gets ahold of me) and probably am not eating the best.

I really don't know what to do. Perhaps I could follow CALP better in my second trimester. Or, maybe I just need to set my mind to it. I just don't know. Today I actually thought of switching to Atkins Maintenance, but that would require carb-counting which I'm not sure I'm up for. I really don't know what the answer is. BUT, I've set Sunday as my drop-dead date (since I need to do something!). DD will be at G&Gs this weekend, so maybe in between getting things done around the house I can do some research (and maybe some soul searching) and figure out what direction to head.

I know that it's times like this that I really should be posting... but I've just been too ashamed and confused... and, I must confess, kind of enjoying some of the off-plan things I've been eating. BUT, like I said... I need to get back to it... whatever "it" is for me right now.

Good luck with your paper(s) and presentations next week! I'm sure you'll do fine with your eating.

Hi Girls, Yeah it's getting really busy, I take a few minutes to read and minimal posting. I lost 3/4 of a pound this week, but TOM arrived so I've probably gained 5 back! Gosh I despise TOM sometimes!

I'm in a bit of hurry, so Laly - good luck with your presentations and keep up the good work on your WOE. Debby, try not to stress too much. I think I can relate to your enjoying off plan foods - you'll be fine. Just take it one meal at a time.

I remember with my son, I ate a nice salad every day for lunch, didn't pig out or anything like that. I still gained 50 lbs!! He was a big boy, almost 9 lbs, but I was so upset everytime I had to get weighed! You'll be just fine

I'll catch up when I have more time. Sorry girls.
Karen
