| I've loaned my Zone book to my sis and I can't remember how to tell how to adjust a meal/snack. I've been having tuna w/mayo on ww with raw milk each day successfully, but today I was out of tuna. I had eggs, ww toast an milk today. I'm kinda foggy headed and a bit hungry now. The hungry is ok, cuz' it is 2 hours later, and this is breakfast time, but I'm fuzzy headed. Am I correct that this means too many carbs in relation to the protein/fat? So, in opposition to that would too few carbs make me hungry, but with a clear head? TIA for helping me out with this |

| Exactly, Sharron. If you feel hungry and mentally loopy, fuzzy, (ie, not excellent mental acuity), you had two many carbs in relation to your protein/fat. Correspondingly, if you get hungry too soon but have good mental acuity you may need to increase carbs for the same protein/fat. You got it.

| Thanks. I went out and watered the plants and used up some of those carbys and felt better, though it was definitely not a "hit" of a snack. I've been off all day food-wise. :crying: Seems like that happened last time, too. Actually, breakfast was good and my afternoon snack was good. I shouldn't be so critical of myself... Maybe I need to go post in the "say something nice" thread again That is the beauty of the Zone, though. I'm only one meal or snack from getting back in Just this afternoon I woke up from a rest with a nasty headache. I went and had my water and salt and a Zone snack and within about 10 minutes I was on top of the world. I guess I just need to pay more attention to what I'm doing... Thanks for the helping hand |
