| After much reading and experimentation, I have settled on SP as my lower carb wol. I saw the other SP thread but it hasn't had activity for a few months so I thought I'd start a new one to see if anyone is still following this. I do very well if I keep my carbs between 45 and 60. My daily allowance is 60 but some days that feels like too much. I have to avoid wheat and gluten completely so I use fruits and mostly vegetables to get my carbs. I am holding steady with weight loss but that's ok, I'm feeling better and that's what my aim is at this point. I'd like to hear from other who use or have used this low carb program and how you feel about it then and now. Angel |

| Hi DecemberAngel, I'm planning on going back to the SP plan. I started it a few months back and then got side tracked with the FFP (Fat flushing plan). I may need to refresh my memory a bit on the dos and don'ts, but I plan on using the SP. |

| Hi DecemberAngel, That is so good to hear. I know before I started the SP plan, I was feeling so sluggish and didn't have the energy for my workouts. I knew my body was screaming for more good carbs. The SP plan is much better for me and I'm excited to get back on track. Now I need to get to the grocery store and get some food. LOL Well weighed myself today and I'm down to 153.5. I won't change my sig line unless it stays a few more days. |

| Hiya, I have just dusted my Schwarzbein books off and plan to re-read both of them. Is this going to be the new forum for SP? I will check in regularly and see what is going on, I will certainly have some questions and this might be the answer I have been searching for because she deals with your health problems, and I have many of those as most of you know, so if I can sort out some of these then perhaps I can begin to feel better all round. | I had read Schwarzbeinplan I a few years ago and it made a lot of sense. I couldn't find my copy, must have lent it out, so I bought a new one. Wish I had found mine because then I could have bought the second book. I already have her cookbook. I may use her plan as the maintenance part of my woe. |

| I really do feel better when I follow the SP plan. I don't get as many side effects as atkins and yet I get all the benefits. I get tired of tracking all the carbs but I'd have to do that no matter what plan I use. I haven't weighed in a while. I might weigh in the morning. |

| Hi Rob, What a shame that you didn' get the book back that you lent out, I hate that when people lend things and don't return them....the books cost a lot of money to start with. Hopefully you have learnt your lesson and won't lend your new one out. I have both the Schwarzbien books and I have re-started reading the first one. It all makes so much sence when you listen to her, don't you think? Basically she is telling me what the Alternative councillor has been telling me, but for a lot less money. I am not doing anything different until I have read and understood the book this time. I am also glad that Schwarzbein is being discussed again and I will certainly be back to add my two penny worth. | Hi Louloo, I've also read both of Schwarzbien books, but I feel like brushing up on the first one again. I know SP plan is for me. However, the weight loss is much slower. I don't mind because I feel wonderful. Hi Rob, Good to see you in here!! |

| Thanks. and No one is getting their hands on this copy. I think somewhere Dr. Schwarzbein says that you may gain weight in the beginning of her plan. That was what discouraged me from continuing with SP. I gained 2 or 3 pounds in 2 weeks. |

| Hi there, I don't mind losing weight at a slower rate as long as I do lose, I just want to feel well again. I know it will take a long time as I have so many health problems, but I am enjoying re-reading the 1st book and I am taking in a lot more of it this time around. If I could begin to feel a quarter as good as you do, then I would be totally happy. I had to go for an MRI brain scan today and the silly thing brokedown half way through, so I have to go back on Wednesday and do the whole thing again, LOL. Take care, love Louloo. x

| Hi Louloo, I hope all goes well with your MRI scan. I can't believe it broke down the first time. I can just imagine how nervous you were the first time and now have to go through it again. I've actually been feeling a bit under the weather and haven't been eating much. The little bit I've been eating is sorta on plan, but not completely. Right now the only things I can keep down are fruit...which means I'm consuming more fruit or carbs than what is specified on the SP plan. Right now I'm not too concerned. I just want to feel better. |

| Hi Kelli, Yes it was hard luck breaking down on me and I have to go again in about an hour.......it wasn't so bad as the fully body scan and nowhere near as long, thank heavens. I am sorry that you are feeling so unwell.......I hope that you feel better soon. I shouldn't worry about the fruit, just eat what you want and drink gallons of water, it's all you can do until you start to feel well again. I am loving reading the 1st Schwarzbein book again. There is so much more that I understand this time around. Trouble is it is making me worry about DH. He has heart problems and only eats low fat, he will not listen to me and he is still piling on the weight, even though he eats practically nothing........I am scared for him but can't make him listen. | Hi Everyone, Well that is over thank heavens. It was a new scanner and narrowed considerably while the other was just a straight tunnel. It was very claustrophobic and noisy so I was really glad to get out of there. It only took 20 minutes while the full spine scan took an hour and a half............so not much to worry about. I now have to wait for about 6-8 weeks before I get any results. This afternoon I am sitting down to finish the first SP book.......then I am going to try and make out some meal plans and get the food in that I need. Hope that you are improving Kelli and that the rest of you are doing well on your chosen plan. Take care, love Louloo. x
