Default Old Newbie here...

Hello All,

I was here a long time ago. I fell off the wagon...HARD. Some major things happened in my life and of course I used that as my ticket to eat whatever I want. I gained back all 30 pounds I had lost and I am totally dicouraged and disgusted. I started fresh this morning. We had a birthday party for my kids yesterday and I got a look at some pictures of myself from the party. I was standing next to some people and I got a really good look at myself. Was I ever shocked!!! I cannot believe that's me, I kept saying. So, here I am with renewed determination to beat this thing and change my way of life. Unfortunately, I can't do any walking or running right now. I have ripped tendons and ligaments in my ankle. I was walking 5 or 6 miles almost every day before I injured myself. Need to follow dr orders for the next few weeks. But I will be getting out my 5 pound weights to start lifting. Phheeewwwww... feels good to get all that off my chest. Feels even better to be logged back into this website! Thanks for "listening!"

Amy

Congradulations on your decision to come back! Put that pic of yourself on the fridge to remind yourself about what you should be eating. My son's bday party was on June 27th, and after getting the pictures back and seeing myself in them, I too decided to start this woe. Actually I threw all the pictures of myself away, save one. I couldn't stand to look at them and I'm ashamed to say that I don't want anyone else to see them either. I'm planning on getting to my goal weight and then having a family portrait done, with me in it! Anyway, good luck to you!

Welcome Back. I too had the dreaded picture wake-up call at the end of May after my little sis's grad party. Wow I could hardly believe it. now I keep those pictures with me as a constant reminder that this is a woe to change my life for the better. Good luck to you.

Hi All!

I'm an old newbie too. I am not new to the low carb woe I am new to this website and have found it to be helpful and encouraging. I've already tried out a couple of recipes found on this website. I have known about low carb eating for many years and have tried it with some success many times. My problem is once I lose a few pounds I get complacent and then the pounds come back. So far, I've maintained this woe for two and a half weeks and have lost 10 pounds. Thanks to all of you for your insight, encouragement and knowledge.
Tara

Ahhh ... the Couch Fauxtato Challenge ....

Well, as a pretty much confirmed couch fauxtato myself, I thought I'd try to find some way to incorporate SOME kind of regular activity into my life.

If you're not up for any of the usual challenges, maybe you'd like to join in. You can check it out here.
