| Give it time--I know you don't want to hear that. . .but you do have to give it time! Add a few more veggies and remove something--but if you make changes--make them gradually so you know which one worked and what didnt' make any difference! IF you ahve added something new--subtract it for a few days, drink an extra few ounces of water, other than that, just wait it out and enjoy the new you. I started in January and waited all summer to lose again--from the 15th of June to the 15th of August! But I have lost 13 lbs since then!!!!!

| Oh, April, this must be so frustrating for you! I know a while back we discussed calories. Did you adjust those? Are you still losing inches? Why don't you post your routine and let's see if we can spot something!

| cha-ching . . . boom *scale dances in the air* Oh, dear. Well a LARGE part of this is simply my body catching up. I did drop 25 pounds in fairly short order. I AM seeing - not so much a continued loss in inches, but a 're-shaping' of myself. There is FAR less of me in certain spots and I do try to concentrate on that. The other thing is that I really let the carbs creep back on me (pulls pin from grenade and tosses at Crawling Creep) *blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam* I started back on induction yesterday (HAD meant to do it last week, but life threw a pile of poo at me and it wasn't do-able) *ducks flying poo* I just want to lose ALL THE WEIGHT NOW, THIS MINUTE, GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE yeah, I know, hold my breath and wait in line! *sigh* I'm just frustrated. I know the scale will move. I AM sticking with this!!! Plan for now, induction levels for 7 days and walking (hard to do when the puppy is in uber sniff the world mode, but I'm moving!) NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER *grablefargl - snarky scale* <----- sulks off to reload shot gun and snarls at scale

| *taunting april*... maybe you should join me.. in the NOT WEIGHing unless i am at a doctors office CLUB?! OKAY.. i know... maybe some of you dont end up going to the doctor a few times a year as I do... BUT .. still.. the daily . weekly. monthly SCALE STANDING isnt neccessary! you are NOT a number! you ARE how you feel in your skin! you ARE how you FEEL in your clothes (or lack thereof....) once again.. NOBODY looks at you and says.. she LOOKED good at 165.. but now that she drank that bottle of water and weighs 166 she looks like bloodyhell! keep eating LC to FEEL good.. the rest will come...:-) JANUARY... FEBRUARY.. MARCH.. APRIL.. MAY...JUNE.... JULY... AUGUST .. SEPTEMBER..its now october.. i aint a rookie at this any more.. but still i see no END in site.. because i dont PLAN on changing this way of eating at no STINKin number on a scale that MAY or may NOT be telling the truth at any given moment! :-) hang in april... |

| DOn't ya hate the carb creep--and yeah--after 25 lbs in what 9 weeks or so??? You body is thinking--"HEY!!! I am going to starve to death here!" But while the inches are not "falling off" the rearranging process is taking place and. . .that is a fun process in itself--but yeah, it AIN'T a ton of fun! How many times have you broken your toe trying to get the scale to move??? I can see you with bandages on all toes on each foot at this point--and then there is the fact that you either have a whole arsenal of weaponry OR are going broke paying for "toe" doctors and shot gun shells! LOL AT any rate--a week at induction rates should start things going in the proper direction again--and if not it certainly won't hurt! The other thing that I have had some success with is having a day or even two that are WAY over on carbs--kind of a shock the system--but when you do that--DO NOT step on that scale for about three days!!! I jsut did that this past weekend--not to "shock" the system again but becasue I was craving everythign so I got it all over with all at once!

| I finally just broke a six week stall and lost 2 lbs. Thank god because i was getting ready to do something rash. For me it was the carb creep and less exercise. When I reinducted for 5 days and got back on the exercise wagon, the stall finally broke. I am like you April, I want to lose it all NOW and since I've already lost 42 lbs in pretty short order, it should continue so. Right? RIGHT?????? And, I don't waaaaaaaannnnnnnnt to give up calories yet. (whines) I LIKE eating all the butter and cream cheese I want and still losing weight. I don't waaaannnnnnt that to change. LOL I am just trying to accept that this is all part of the process and maybe my body needed to "catch up with itself" or somthing...

| Well, I know you know the drill and you've heard it all before (we've been in this boat together for a while!) so all I will say is, HANG IN THERE! Actually, I was getting frustrated with the scale, too, and then I remembered to measure myself. <duh!> I lost over 7 inches this month! I know what you mean about the body *reorganizing itself* -- it seems my body is "shifting" its fat around. What does it think it's doing? Trying to hide it from me??? ROFL!

| I have to be honest, there are days our home resembles Michael Gross and Reba McIntyre's from Tremors!!!! I have to (it seems, constantly) remind myself just how far I have come. Think it's time to dig out some seriously horrid before pics and do some present ones to tweak myself into reality. (me and reality, what a concept!)

| The reason one stalls. The body is nothing but a big bottle of chemicals. We need to have complete homeostasis for our body to function to its maximum ability. When we diet, or restrict something in our eating habits, our bodies fuel is watered down or what ever analogy you come up with, Our body reacts to that. So on a low carb or even a low fat diet....our body knows it isn;t getting all that it needs. Granted, it is known that carbs turn into fat, especially on a fat restricted diet. When we deprive our body of the proper amount of carbs, it turns what protein we eat into the carbs it needs. So for those low carb diets that allow you to have starch once a day...they have a proper theory in the jest of giving the body just enough carbs to keep that fat burning ketosis in high action. So when you stall, up your carbs...so your body doesnt convert the protein that you eat into carbs....the body knows what it needs.....and when you deprive it, or chem levels lower, it will make up for that which it lacks. Up the carbs to kick start the loss. |
