Default LCE Rocks!

I have spent many hours over the last few days reading entries and 'threads' and finally decided that I need to call this place 'home'.

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!

I have been on every diet that has ever been invented and have ALWAYS come back to low carb. Why? It works! Well (you may be asking) if it works so well for you, Sista, why would you try any other diet??!!!!!!?

I have asked myself that same question a million times...what am I doing wrong? Why am I always 'on a diet'? And why am I having to buy larger clothes???????

And the answer is........commitment. Or maybe I should say...Lack of Commitment

I have lost 'tons' of weight in my lifetime, but have learned NOTHING in the process.

And usually when I am on a 'diet', I have always thought......'when I lose this weight, I will eat whatever I want' ..... and unfortunately, I have done just that! And my weight has gone up and down..up and down.....up and down.... I could be called Sista YoYo!!!!!

This time, I am 'low carb' eternally (lce).........as a way of life instead of a 'quick fix' diet. COMMITMENT!

However, I will need your support, your knowledge, your experiences and your sense of humor to help me thru the weak times and win the battle of the bulge FOREVER!

And actually, you have already helped me so much! I have truly enjoyed reading the boards......you guys are soooooo knowledgeable, humorus, and supportive to each other.

I am looking forward to our journey......

Welcome! And now that you're a member, you rock, too! It took me days, too, reading all the posts, and I was hooked! I'm a former yo-yoer myself, so I totally understand THAT! LOL! Make yourself at home and let us know if you have any questions.

Welcome, Sista, I credit this site for my success with this WOE. I have probably lost and gained back a thousand pounds over the last 20 years (literally). I too finally feel I have the commitment to make this work. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. And this WOE is so much more than a diet. It's a lifestyle I can live with.

Good luck on your journey.

Welcome, Sista.

Lots of ex-yo-yo's around here. That's how I spent a good portion of my life. It's much more satisfying to be off the roller coaster.

Make yourself at home!

Welcome Sista
I too found the boards in here to be extemely helpful. I know a couple times in the last two months there were times when I felt like packing it in but the words of support and encouragement in here kept me on track. . People have begun to notice my wieght lose (which is really kewl) and have asked if I am dieting. My reply is "no I"ve changed the way I eat". It really helps my perspective and my commitment to think of this as a lifestyle change and not a diet.
Again welcome to lce.
