I ca'nt take BC--which I think as messed upas I am alrady...is a blessing in disguise...can't add any new hormones to my already screwed up ones! TOM is aobut to smack me down again...I hate the first two tot hree days...I should start today though it ranges anywhere from the 5th to about the 10th or 11th for a start date...I am a lot closer to normal regular than I was before this WOE. And, hey, it starts and stops on its own now too...another bonus! I amhoping that once it is over I will be able to drop below 162 for the first time in probably 15 or 16 years.

Hey, we are doing great here. Today is day 7 and I have been really good. I was down 8.5 pounds this morning! I am still nursing my baby girl, so I do add some fruit (which is really nice), and I think the nursing helps the weight come off easier. Bad side is if I cheat the nursing makes me go crazy for carbs.

Glad to hear everyone is doing so good! I plan to work out my menu for this weeks dinner today. I find that a major cheating hurtle is knowing in advance what I am going to eat and having it on hand vs. the quick and easy bad stuff.

That is soooooooooooo true!!!!!

Nikki, are you staying out of ketosis while you are nursing? The jury is still out as to whether or not that can hurt your baby. Try adding some as unprocessed as possible: hulled barley/rolled-long cooking oats and buckwheat groats to your menu. You can get that at places like Whole Foods and health food stores. Those foods are FULL of nutrients and antioxidants and fiber. I've been eating a "porridge" I make with all three and have actually been LOSING weight while eating it. I am also drinking green tea too. It feels good to be able to eat something like that on these cold winter days. I also add the barley to my soups. (takes about 45 mins to cook with constant watching and stirring, but worth it.) I add cinnamon and splenda to my porridge. It's quite yummy and sticks to your ribs.

My baby is 11 months old and eats tons of soilds so her breast milk intake is not that great. I do still add any fruits I want and keep my carb level higher then if I was not nursing. Basically my diet would closely resemble what an OB would have a diabetic mom to be eating. I am actually hoping to wean her in the coming weeks, she just is having a hard time taking a bottle, sippy cup. I really can't wait to see what happens when I do wean because I would think I would quickly drop a little more.

It is going to be 75 here today, so a ice shake sounds better than a hot drink. But we did have snow a couple weeks ago. Crazy Texas weather!

So she's not solely dependent on you for her nutrition. That's good. When she's ready to drink from a "BIG girl" cup, she'll be ready. Ya can't RUSH that sort of thing. Sounds like your diet is working well for you!!!
