I just lent my book out to a friend that just moved back after being gone for some time. He wanted to do Atkins and knew he HAD to read the book. He said he's read it once already (1 day) and is going to read it again this weekend. He's been calling me with questions and it's nice to have a discussion knowing he's at least got some basic knowledge from reading the book. Now he's sending his sister out to buy the book as well.
When I first started I went to the library to check out books. I started on a different plan and switched to Atkins only after I saved up the money to buy the book at Wal-Mart (they were out when I went back to the library). So I know how it is to have to "save up" $6. But I knew I couldn't succeed unless I read
DANDR before starting. And now after reading it a few more times I got much more out of it and have corrected myself on several things.
