Default Lost 1kg

Hello all,

Today is my last day of induction and this morning I weigh 58kg. I'm not so sure if this 1kg is the 'permanent' lost or not but in any case I would be more than happy if this is the case.

In the beginning I was thinking 'oh, only 1kg'.. but on second thought, this is 1/6 of what I would like to lose, so, not bad, huh?

I will up my carb by 5g starting tomorrow and see how it goes. Actually some days I found it pretty hard to get 20g from only veggies.

I have started to do exercise this week also. Not much, 2 times a week - I am doing the 'Walk away the pounds' - 3 miles, hope this can help?

Ciao,
Margaret

Oh Margaret, that is wonderful! That's over 2 pounds!

And I know a lot of people on this board use the WATP tapes and love it. Any exercise, even just jumping around the room will help. Last night I was watching a special on TV . . . "Music of the 60's" . . . and found myself dancing. Sure can't dance as much as I could when I was 20!

What food are you going to use for your carb increase? Dr. Atkins says a lot of people use cottage cheese (ricotta?), or a little fruit.

Good going! And best wishes as you continue your LC journey.

I'm a Leslie Sansone fan. Her workouts are easy to handle, but (especially the longer ones) very productive. I use lots of other home workout videos as well.

I enjoyed adding 1/4 cup of mixed berries or some strawberries as one of my 5 gm increments.

Margaret, congratulations on getting past induction. That's the tough part. The rest will be a piece of cake...er...a slice of cream cheese. LOL

It sounds like you don't have much weight to lose. Because you are so close to your goal, the weight may come off slower. Don't be discouraged. Just keep with the plan and you'll do fine. Heck, you're already doing super with your exercise. The three mile WATP? That's great. I can barely get through the 1 mile!

Thanks for all the encouragement ;.)) Today I went to the supermarket and surprisingly, I can found some macademia nuts. I have about 10 of those and thought to myself - okay, stop it, otherwise I will finish it off in one day!

I don't know about the carb counts though, need to check it out later.

I'm thinking in the beginning I will add a bit more veggies and see how it goes. Talk to you guys later.

Once again, thanks.
Margaret

Margaret, do you have nutrition labels on the foods sold in Italy? Some sort of label that tells you how much is in a serving and how many calories, fats, carbs, etc. are in that serving? If you do not, I can understand how much harder it is for you to keep track of everything!

My jar of Planters Macadamia Nuts says:

Serving size: 1 oz. (28 g., about 27 pieces)
Calories: 200
Carbs: 4
Fiber: 3
Net carbs: 1

The carb count is wonderful, it's the calories that can get you if you eat the whole jar!
