    Default Fruit2o?

Does Fruit 2 O count as water? If I drink some of that can I count it towards my daily water intake? I Love it!

I count all beverages, but I make sure I've gotten the majority of fluids from plain water. I've never had fruit2o, but I think I read that it is unsweetened - just essence flavorings? If so, I think it's okay to count it. If it's very high in sodium, you might want to limit it to one 8 to 12 oz serving per day.

Fruit2O is water sweetened with splenda and fruit flavorings (artificial I think) and I used to drink it ALL the time. According to the Eades (authors of protein power) they say that any beverage with 0 calories and 0 everything else can be counted as water. But I would make sure I drink plenty of PLAIN water too. 5 mgs of sodium is nuthin!!!!

What I usually do is I play a game with myself..........If I take a sip of something that's not water, I have to also take a sip of my plain water. I'm a two-fisted drinker, LOL

I really like Fruit2o, too, because it isn't too sweet, and has a nice, fresh fruit flavor. But, I don't count it as part of my daily water allowance, 'cause I try to limit the amount of artificial sweeteners I use. Try to think of stuff like that as being in the "treat" catagory, and you should be fine. Remember, too, that drinks with caffeine can dehydrate you and work against getting enough water. If you drink coffee or tea, you should drink extra water.
Barb, I like your two-fisted approach!
