I live in Lancashire. I am looking for a UK buddy as a lot of the ingredients cannot be found in the UK so we can give each other advice of what we are using instead and where to find it etc.

speaking of beer have you tried the low carb beers, the resolution one its really good and only 1.6 grams per bottle. !

I'm not a beer drinker, I can happily drundle along with vodka and diet coke.

My band might be playing Wigan in a few eeks, you should come along!

About my post on flaxseeds have you managed to find any ? and just a heads up i bought one of those carbolite coconut chocolate bars from morrisons yesterday claiming it was only 1.4g only to have eaten it and it was really 18g ! that was a filling day.

How about us poor saps who want to chuck it all and BECOME a low carber in the UK?

I don't really buy low carb products. The only ones I have indulged in is the Atkins Bake Mix and the Shake mix. I would LOVE to try some of that DaVinci syrup everyone raves about but have yet to see any or its equivalent.

Yes I bought some ground flaxseed from Holland and Barrats. I like them although they are quite high in calories.

sazzle, did you decuct the "sugar alcohols" and any fiber from the total carbs?
of that carbolite bar?

Be careful of the LC bars, some people get intestinal distress from them and end up in the loo for a long long time and others bodies react to the alcohols as if they are REAL sugar. IF your loss stops, those might be the culprit.............just a head's up.

I'm a newbie from the UK, just now joined.
I'm Gemma and I'm in sunny Norwich. Super excited, tommorrow is the beginning of the return of the old me, but improved. I low carbed it for a couple of months two years back and had amazing results (was a fanatical runner too), I'm starting jogging again slowly, belong to a gym and now doing the diet to go with it. I'm not gonna fail this time, I just need to get through the 1st two weeks with no slip ups and I know I'll do it. Will be logging in everyday, any help/advice would be majorly appreciated. So happy to have found a website where theres so much support and advice.
