Default Hello back again too

After being quite ill for some time (PND) and a lot heavier than I was I am hoping to be able to stick with this and be accountable for my weight. I need motivation like you would nt believe! I so desparately want to be thinner for my health (now 41yro) with two children my weight is about 210 was 182 lat time I was here.

so I have some chicken legs marinating and off to buy some fresh veggies and fruit. I saw a 5 a day thread somewhere here too...makes sense.

My downfall was white wine, to relax with the children being very demanding.

I know that is my downfall!

Well let's hope this time is MY TIME.

Hi ladies

Thanks for the welcome!

I plan on just living lo-carb in general. I have been reading alot of stuff on hormones etc and it appears some women do develop a carb intolerance.

My weight gain began to be a HUGE problem when I quit smoking 3 years ago.

And since hitting 40 I have just got heavier and heavier. So I believe this is the way I should live now forever. Every now and again I might have something high carb but in everyday life I have to omit the carbs. I know this works and having the motivation to stick with it and get passed stressful times here at home, when I feel like a glass or two of wine and that always kills the lo-carb plan for me!

Ha!!!
I am in Australia (as you can see) and on our nightly current affairs program, the CSRIO (government) has been looking at all fad diets over the last 8 1/2 years. What did they come up with? High protein LOW CARB....the people who had been this way of living for even 1 week lost weight...

Soft drinks, alcohol and chocolate are not out....but must be put into perspective...

Keep your meets lean and eat your veggies, fruit and drink that water!!!!!

What a wonderful note to start off again!

You guys have had it right all along! I will try and attach the link for anyone interested

http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/stories/1880.asp

you may have to copy and paste worth a read!

Me again

If anyne is interested in downloading the lo-carb eating plan it is best going to the CSIRO site

www.csiro.au

and download from there the file appears damaged from the ACA site.

Pretty cool!

The link to CSIRO worked for me - it opened the diet plan as a PDF file.
