Wink Mr Yuck stickenrs belong on sugar products

Hi everyone!

I'm so glad to find this board. I started Atkins back in 1998 and got close to goal, but then I let the sugar monster get the better of me and....well I'm sure you can guess the outcome. So here I sit wil it all to lose again. I know it works, I know how to work it, and now I just need to do it! I have 15 days under my belt(there's more room for then now ) and I'm down about 7 pounds so far.

Anyway, I hope to get to know and learn from all of you....this really looks like a comfy low carb place to hang my hat.

Welcome Tuscan. Yes, this is a wonderful place to hang your hat! As you know by now, maintenance can be one tough LC cookie. While I have avoided all the usual suspects during maintenance, carb creep and too many calories are still a challenge.

Looking forward to getting to know you!

Too many, Tuscan!

... and it took me about two years to drop that 50+ lbs of water. I've clearly been dehydrated ever since.

Welcome, Tuscan. Glad to see another "returnee".

I love the title of the thread. I use to love those Mr. Yuck stickers when I was in grade school. I put them everywhere. But you are correct they belong on all the sugary things in the house...luckily I don't keep any around...for me it's the bread anyhow...so I need them to stick on the bread to remind me how it can ruin me.

I think one of your biggest assets when it comes to maintenance will be this board with all the veterans to help you through and everyone to cheer you on.

Glad you found your place here.

About advice for maintenance, I may not be the right one to ask! But I have found it very easy to stay with low carb as my regular way of eating. I am still not tempted by high carb foods. And when I do indulge, I just know I have to eat clean for a few days to get back on track. By the way, I ~never~ indulge in foods that have sugar. There are just too many lower carb sweet things available. My indulgences seem to be pizza and wine, and I'll slip one tortilla in with my fajitas when at a Mexican restaurant. Oh, and did I mention too much whipped cream?
