first week loss, second week gain?

"Low Carb Newbies" at Low Carb Diet Support: "i just started Sunday and I have gained weight..have not lost anything... I know it is only the 4th day but i did not expect to gain... i have did this before and i always ...."

Linda, as colleen notes above, it would be helpful to give us an idea about which low carb plan you follow and what is your daily food consumption.

For starters, many of us have found that the low carb convenience foods - meal replacement bars, candy, mixes, etc. - contain certain sugar alcohols that totally interfer with weight loss.

Drinking the water is important, too, for weight loss. The water is necessary for efficient fat burning metabolism. Each day, try to drink 1/2 ounce of water for each pound you weigh. For example, a 150 lb person should aim for 75 ounces of water, while a 200 lb. person should consume about 100 ounces of water a day.

My fav morning meal is a light egg omelette or some fried fish and eggsalad, the fish is fantastic since it only takes 5 minutes to cook and with my non stick pan clenaing up is a breeze

I've split this thread off so that it starts with your first post. The rest of the thread was over two years old.

It would help if you can tell us which low carb plan you are following and give us an idea of what, exactly, you've been eating.
