Default Recipe Analysis Software???

Does anyone know of a good computer program that I could use to enter all the ingredients of a recipe and the number of servings, and have it calculate the nutritional info? I know there must be something available for that purpose...i just don't know where to start.

I've been using fitday and entering the ingredients the same way you enter your daily foods...but it's time consuming and kind of a round-about way of doing it. I would love to be able to figure out nutritional info and save the recipe in the same program.....

any suggesstions?

thanks

Vickie - The one i have is Mastercook. It's an older version and it's a little cumbersome. But I think anytime you have to enter an ingredient list as well as amounts for each ingredient it will be. You might check out the link below. It's a link to recipe calc 4.0 . they will let you download a recipe analysis tool and it will work for 20 days. If you like it enough to keep using it you will have to pay $24.

Hey Vickie - I have the LC version of MasterCook. Not all the recipes are what *I* would call LC, but the nutrition analysis thing works really well. Also lets you tweak the number of servings, so you can see how a recipe would work for you if you made it fewer or more servings. I got it off of eBay pretty inexpensively.

Rob & Katie...thanks for the input. I was wondering if "mastercook" would do it, I couldn't tell from the description on amazon. I tried the "recipe 4.0" one and found it to be kind of a pain to use. If I made a mistake entering an ingredient I had to start all over again (unless I'm just an idiot and couldn't figure out how to use it, which is highly possible) I also like the idea of being able to save the recipes in master cook....

thanks again for the input
