| This may be a stupid question but I dont have my Atkins book right now so here it is ...When counting carbs do you add the amount of sugar to the carb count? I mean I know the books said to subtract the fiber but did it say then add sugar(and I don't mean sugar alcohols either just regular sugar) after that? The sugar confuses me so any help would be great thanks.. sheryl

| Sheryl, Carbs from sugars are included in total carbs. On labels, you look at the total carbohydrates and subtract the fiber to arrive at net carbs. (Some will also subtract some are all of the sugar alcohol carbs, depending on the type of sugar alcohol, their own reaction to that type of sugar alcohol, and the degree to which they are trying to delude themselves about sugar alcohols.) HTH.
