Default Beginning Day 4 and have had headaches...

I've had headaches for the past three days, nothing too bad, just dull throbbing type. Do you think it's just because I've changed what I'm eating? Other than that, I've done the treadmill 30 minutes a night and have had no problems sticking with the right eating...

I had a headache yesterday. This is a big change for your body, and you're probably going through sugar withdrawal. I hope someone else can offer you advice about what to do about your headache. I do know, however, that it will soon pass.

    Barb,
It's prety common for induction to produce headaches; very often it is a result of the detoxing process. Remember, on induction you are giving up wheat, sugar, processed foods and caffeine...a lot for your body to adjust to in a short period of time. Also, when you have suddenly given up or cut back drastically on caffeine, this by itself can cause headaches, too. This will pass shortly as your body adjusts, and you will feel better.
Are the headaches in any way connected with working out on your treadmill? If so, you might cut back on it a bit until induction is over. But if you've had no cravings, and otherwise feel good, then, IMHO, you are doing just fine. Hang in there!!

Thank you for the replies. I figured it was probably induction related, and you could be right Trina, maybe I should cut back on the treadmill just until this two week period is over. I've never been a coffee drinker and never have drank too much pop so I don't think it's related to that, although I was a big sugar binger and chocolate does contain caffeine, so that's probably it. Am I rambling? :-)

A sugar detox can do it for sure, Barb. Remember that it's temporary, and you will feel better than ever when it's over. During induction, I have heard of people having everything from slight headaches to full-blown flu-like symptoms for a few days. You will feel better soon.
    And no, you're not rambling.

Barb, make sure you are getting enough water. Being even slightly dehydrated can cause headaches, and as your body is burning fat, it is working harder, and you need that extra fluid. If you haven't already, you might come join our Gallon a Day challenge.

Yep. Water, water, water! Helps the headaches, and also helped the light-headed fealing I got later on.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about that. I do drink a lot of water, but maybe I'd better drink more. Where do I find the gallon a day challenge? Sounds like fun!
