Although it sounds minimal it will impede the ketosis process. I would stay away from ALL sugars for induction to get the best results.

I've been doing LC for a few months now (but I've been doing LC off and on for several years, so I don't consider myself a LC newbie), and I use this about once a day or every other day. I only have 2-3 tbsp at a time, and haven't had it knock me out of ketosis. There is actual sugar in the ingredient list, but it's one of the last ingredients on the list... water is the first ingredient, cheese is the second, milk whey is the third, and there are several more cheeses listed before the sugar. Since cheeses are made from milk, AND this product has milk whey in it, I'm pretty sure that most of the sugar grams listed are from the natural sugar in the milk. That is also for the 1/4 cup serving, which is more than I generally use.

I wouldn't eat this on induction, but would have no qualms about including it once induction is over. Once again... your mileage may vary (as with all things on this WOE), you can try it and see if it seems to stall or slow your weight loss.

The fact that there is some, slight, amount of sugar (particularly naturally occuring sugars) in a product won't necessarily defeat ketosis.

It depends, as Katie points out, on how much is in a serving and how many servings. As someone who tests BGL's, I can say that the small amount of sugar that might be listed in a full-fat salad dressing or naturally present, like in some tomato products, do not adversely effect my BGL's, as long as I keep the total meal within my carb allowance.

HTH.
