Ooops, I hit the wrong key...typical for my day! I'm so stressed out from work matters and they are too long to go into here :-) .... I quit smoking on December 7th and starting this WOL on January 9th...I would kill for a cigarette and chocolate right now!! But nope, I'm not going to. Instead I went and got a Diet Rite---0 sugars, 0 calories, 0 salt, 0 calories. Hope this was okay, but I figured it was better than the alternatives...

Now I feel better, I've vented.

We are venting! Yeah! So, I don't normally drink or smoke a lot, but wow. On Friday night, after a week on the atkins, my friend said she had to have me meet her for 1 drink. That turned into many more of both. I felt so bad the next day. I have not done that in years. I play it up to the fact that this new diet did not let me regulate. Although, I think it might have been the amount of vodka. So, no more. Told the girls on Saturday that this lady is staying home and playing with her little boy! They were bummed, but I do not like feeling bad. As for the smokes....well, I don't normally smoke, and that one night proved to me why! Good luck and just let us take one day at a time.

LOL Hawaii! That is the way I started smoking, one here, one there, then pretty soon it was smoking all the time. Better to quit before you start :-) (I still haven't figured out how to get the cute little smiley faces to come up....) Vodka is my downfall so I try to avoid it at all cost.

Yeah, I smoked prior to having my son a year ago. My husband said no kids if I smoke. He hates it, so bans it from the house. I think I just got a little outta control. I have the big 30 comming up so I guess I am reliving the days. I do like to have a drink though every now and then. It just might be a while until the next.

I quit smoking when I was pregnant, and restarted when I went back to work. I've been a stay at home mom for almost 3 years, and I STILL smoke... I just started a thread for those who are trying to quit, those who are still struggling with it, and anyone who wants to give us some feedback. I hope both of y'all will come check it out!

Hi Barb - Good going on the diet rite!! Hi Katie -Not so side line the conversation but I'd like to try to quit (again)!!! Not sure if I'm up to the challenge quite yet but would be interested in joining the discussion. Last time I quit I had to go to Hawaii to do it. Gee - maybe I'll do that again.... LOL!!!

We aren't having a challenge for it. Just a thread for anyone who wants to be part of the discussion or needs some reinforcement

Felonee, I am not usually one to opt for medication, and I am not a smoker but... my husband quit 16 months ago and used Zyban with great success. Read about it on the web and then see your doctor... it is a drug you take temporarily. Very helpful to dh.
