A few friends and I have made plans to visit the Melting Pot restaurant. Does anyone have any fondue experience with LC lifestyle? Can I eat? Is it safe? I tried to email them, but their server is not working.

Rosie..I don't have any experience with fondue so I can't help you with that...but here's a link to their menu. It looks like they have entrees that you could fit into this WOE. Most places will let you have a double portion of steamed veggies instead of having a potato. Maybe a steak or some seafood and some steamed veggies. Hope this helps

I have been there. We got the multi-course meal (best value and easiest for a group). You choose a cheese fondue (served with bread and also with some veggies), a main fondue (hot oil or a broth) served with different kinds of meats and these ravioli that they have, and a dessert fondue (obviously not LC). Just be forewarned that you won't be ordering your own individual meal...they only have one or two fondue pots per table, depending on the size of your party. When four of us went, we had to order one type of each course because we only had one fondue pot on the table. So that might make it hard if the other go not-so-LC.

On a good note, if you stick to the cheese fondue and the main course fondue and avoid the bread and the ravioli, you should be okay. Be aware that the cheese fondues usually have some sort of alcohol in them (wine or sherry), but the alcohol evaporates away in the cooking process.

Eating there is an awesome time! Enjoy!
