Smile Returning to Low Carb

Hello all
I am new to these forums, but not to low carb. About 7 years ago I lost a total of about 70 pounds on Atkins, and managed to get down to 110 pounds. I felt a little weak at that weight so I put on 5 pounds and stayed at 115 until about 1 year ago. I have since gone up to 130, not very comfortable for someone who is 5'2.5. I am about to embark on induction (again), and would love any tips or support the members of this forum can offer. I was planning on starting on Monday, but I think this weekend is a better choice. I really don't want to wait any longer.

Welcome!
It sounds like you already know what to do. You've done it before. Just remember what worked for you and what didn't. It is great that you are getting back on the wagon before making it all the way back up to original weight. 15-20 pounds should be a reasonable goal to meet.
If you have any questions, post away... There are many years of experience on this board. If it has to do with LC (and many other things too) you'll be able to find and answer here.
Good luck on your journey.
Tom.

Welcome Kelly!

Like Tom said, thank goodness you got back on the waggon before you gained all your weight back. Unlike you, I only crawled back when I had gained it all back and some!

good luck

welcome here.. hope to see you around often. if i could sugest anything for you is the same thing i realize for my self is to avoid the "new" product suplements for a while you may just get discouraged beacuse they dont taste as good ect. work hard on eating all natural for a while let your body cleanse

Hi everyone

I just finished day 5, and I have to say I feel great. I did have a dull headache on day 3, but that is to be expected. I haven't weighed myself yet, ( I'll wait for a full week) but I do feel a little lighter. It may be water weight, but I'll take it. My concern is that there have been a few days that my carb count has been very low, around 14 grams. Work has been crazy; I guess I need to pack some snacks. :cook:

Kelly, definitely don't let too many hours go by before you eat something!!!! Pack hard boiled eggs, string cheese, olives, ham rollups or whatever you have to. Get an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack or a sixpack cooler if you have to.

I will be going back to work soon where I might be working 6 hour shifts with NO lunch break, so on those days I will pack a liquid lunch I can slug down real fast at my cubicle. I pack it in a cooler lunch bag. It works out great. I make "enhanced" Atkins shakes on those days, adding a scoop of protein powder, some cocoa powder and a pinch of sweetener. I whiz it up with my stick blender and pour it into an empty water bottle. Does the trick.
