Here is a link to Amazon if someone wants to look at it more closely. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/140...lance&n=283155

If no one has read it, I ordered it today and will post another time about what I found.

Heidi,
I own this book and I recommend it to everyone. It's a good reference with a lot of solid advice on low carbing. Jonny Bowden does one of the best comparisons of the various low (and not so low) carb plans I've ever seen. He's fun to read, too.
You'll be glad you bought it, I promise.

I have a copy. I think it is a great book, although I admit I did not find it cover-to-cover reading. The realistic assessments of the different, popular low carb eating plans is reason enough to buy the book; but it has much more to offer.

I checked this out of the library, because I liked Jonny Bowden's online commentary. I remember enjoying the book, but didn't buy it.

One of my favorite low-carb reference books is Secrets to Low-Carb Success by Laura Richard. I like her presentation of information along with "voice of experience" anecdotes.

I second Trina's comments here...I love Jonny Bowden's book, and refer to it often. He describes the 'science' of low carb in a user-friendly tone, and his descriptions of the various LC plans are very useful. I recommend this book to anyone expressing interest in starting a LC eating plan. Hope you enjoy it...I know I did!

That book is never out of arms reach when I'm at my computer. I bought the original edition which explains and rates 14 different Low Carb plans but I've heard that he has a revised edition that added 2 or 3 plans that weren't around when he wrote the original. Hopefully you'll get the revised edition.
