Question Brand Spanking New LOL

Hi I have been thinking about joining for so long now I have taken the plunge, Hello eveyone.

I am so overweight it is just not funny, I have several Chronic illvesses and now because of severe back problems caused by medications and the operations I have difficulty walking.

I use a wheeled frame but even with that I can only walk a little. I do exercises every day to try to strengthen my legs and back. It is so very hard and progress is slow.

The weight just has to come off to help me. Carrying all this weight is really making my problem worse. I also have to take steroids for my one of my illnesses but the other medications I am told also help you put on weight.

Now I am really going to ake a huge effort with Low Carb eating, so looking for any and all support.

frilly

Welcome, frilly.

The best first piece of advice I can offer is for you to pick a plan and then read the book that goes with it. Without such a roadmap, you're likely to "get lost."

Then come here often for tips, tricks and support!

Hope you'll make yourself at home.

Welcome frilly!

Post and we'll talk to you. Everyone is welcome!

(They put up with me don't they? <smile>)

Look at how everyone jumps in with their experiences, suggestions, and comments. One thing we've all got going for us is that we're all in a similar boat!! Not exactly the same, but similar

HI FRILLY,

Welcome. Some days here I am sad and upset, others I am high as a kite and excited. Just like life. I too have to take medication (lupus) that is not supposed to help weight loss. I just bang on through. It works. Plus, having had back surgery and in a similar place as you, I know once the weight starts to come off, less (pain) medication is needed. I have been off pain killers for about 2 months now!!! I am VERY happy to say that.

Welcome, Frilly. You've got a difficult road ahead, but you sure have a lot of supporters already! Maggie's right, find a plan you can live with, read the book cover to cover.

And always come back for help, inspiration, encouragement, or to vent, or to gloat! We love gloaters!

Hope to hear from you soon.

Ditto to all the warm welcomes - all of us start in different problems, and different situations - but here, we are all on even ground. Our goal is to get ourselves healther - and the support here is absolutely wonderful!
