Default Trouble getting back on

I have been having trouble getting back on the bandwagon for almost 2 years now. My question is this: Has anyone had trouble and decided to follow the South Beach plan instead and found success? I don't know anything about SBD but I'm going to look into it and see what it allows and doesn't allow. But has anyone else here tried to go this route and found success? I tried to go back to induction but I have fallen IN LOVE with peanuts and they are such a quick and easy snack! Please help!

Thanks!

Are you addicted to peanuts? They could very well be the reason you've had trouble, you know. As far as I know, neither plan allows them in the first two weeks, anyway. I tried South Beach. I didn't like it. It didn't work for me. I didn't like what I was eating. On Atkins, I love the food. The bottom line is this: Each of us has to find a plan that suits us and we can live with for life. For you, it *may* be South Beach, but you're probably going to have to bid your peanuts farewell for a while.

hi there!
yes, i took some time off from atkins about a year ago. when i decided to go back to LC (b/c i believe it's the BEST WOE, no matter what plan you follow), i chose SBD.
i lost 20 lbs and reached my goal weight in about 2 months. I LOVE SBD!
but everyone is different ... so i would recommend reading the book, etc ...
let me know what you decide to do!

hi tia! nice to see you around.

i can't add to the sb discussion since i haven't done it, although many do find it less restrictive than atkins. more carbs are allowed, but fat is more of an issue, i believe.

beware of those nuts either way, though! i don't know a single person here or in my personal life who doesn't have an issue with portion control and nuts. it's SO easy to overdo...

good to see you back here, with any kind of way of eating, you have to prepare, and be ready to follow your guide... if peanuts aren't on your plan, then keep them out of the house.... and remember, to take one day at a time... just like aa, you can do it if you put your mind to it.... It is taking me a long time to get on the band wagon again, tho I have continued to eat the best I can...

I am doing it day by day, and posting in the week of eating clean challenge.. that helps see everyone else struggle...

take care, come here often and good luck

Hi. You don't have a lot to lose, so you will probably do well with any lc plan you choose. But find what works for you and stick with it. Believe me, the older you get, the harder it is to take off that weight.

Hope you find the plan that's right for you.

hey my walnut compadre! how ya doin? gosh its been a while, hasnt it?
i cannot lose weight while having nuts... i can maintain.. just cant lose..
i eat too many.. too often..
i switched to having just a FEW sunflower seeds when i feel like that salty cruncy snack..

i dunno about south beach, never tried it..
what i DO know is this: if ONE plan isnt working for you.. try another.. you can always go back..

exercise challenge?
