Unhappy going on week five and nothing

Ok...I'm new to this LC way of life and i've never had this kind of problem with losing. I've been very good for almost 5 weeks now and really haven't lost a thing. Can some one see if there is something i'm missing.

Breakfast: 2 egg beaters with a little bit of white onion and green pepper, maybe some bacon or i'll mix about a Tablespoon of salsa (2 carbs per 2 Tablespoons)
I take lots of vitamins in the morning with breakfast, a multi, biotin, folic acid, fiber, fish oil, calcium and a B complex.

Lunch: Either egg salad, chicken from a rotisserie chicken, or very occasionaly a hot dog that contains only 1 carb gram (less than 2% corn syrup, one of last ingredients) i usually then have some pepper jack cheese with a few pizza pepperoni, some cauliflower and green peppers, sometimes i'll have a salad with cheese, red and green pepper and red onion
about 1000 ml of ice tea (home made) Decafinated

Dinner consists of some form of meat and a veggie

Occasionally i'll have a few pork rings for some crunch. i've also started nibbling on a few nuts.

I did have about 3 bars total in the whole 5 weeks. The bars were atkins new advantage that dont have sugar alcohols. I've also had 2 atkins shakes mixed with crushed ice.

My clothes are still fitting the same and the scale hasn't budged..I've never had this kind of problem before.. I've also been checking my ketones every morning and i'm very very light pink if that. Any suggestions

I really need some support b\c i'm getting very frustrated and the holiday is near.!

I was unaware that Atkins made bars without maltitol in them...hmmm. The bars stall me every time I eat one. The menu looks okay to me. Are you getting *enough* carbs, though? Otherwise, you are starving yourself, really. I feel your pain with the weight loss though. I haven't lost anything in about five weeks either.

You don't mention how much water you drink, and what other things you are drinking. You need to be sure to get adequate water in your system. All other liquids are extra.

You also might want to cut out any sodium for a while, like the nuts and pork rinds, especially if you are susceptible to water retention. And you might just need to add another veggie or 2. Or some fiber, like flaxseed meal.

I'm an extremely slow loser. It's taken me weeks to lose one measly pound, but I'm still healthier than I'd be otherwise, and that is a big plus for me.

Hang in there. Keep tweaking the foods, and you'll find what you need. It's sometimes hard to find out exactly what we need to tweak, but you'll get there.

I DEFINITELY see water intake as a likely culprit here... I hate to always be harping on the same thing, but most people just don't realize the difference it makes!
You REALLY should be drinking at LEAST half your body weight in ounces per day. I shoot for a gallon a day.
Not tea, not diet sodas, not lemonade, PURE WATER (adding a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime is fine though).
And I am a person who used to LOATHE drinking water! It took me a good while to work up to drinking a gallon a day, but when I don't get enough in, it sure shows up on the scale -- even if I'm doing EVERYTHING else right!
Hang in there; You CAN do this!

Kat - I saw your post in this post in this thread in June of 2004 where you speak of needing to lose 10 pounds.

I read all of your subsequent posts. Many times you lost your weight, and months later came back to say that you gained it back. I counted at least three times that you did that since your initial post in 2004, then you lost weight while in nursing school, then you wanted to lose weight for your wedding, then you gained it back, then you went through nursing school, and gained weight and in 2005, stated again that you are back, looking for support to shed pounds that you gained. And now you're back in April of 2006, stating again that you're back, wanting to shed excess weight.

That's called yo-yo dieting. If you want to find permanent weight-loss, and if you wish to be healthy, then you need to make a life change.

For life.

Once you find a plan that you can live with -- for life -- and once you come to terms with the fact that you really, really CAN live with a healthy eating plan -- for life -- then the yo-yo stuff stops.

You asked for support. The best support I can give is just this: find a plan you can live with. Make that plan the number one priority for you just now. Work that plan. REALLY work it. Don't just hit and miss at it. It takes a lot of thought and preparation to eat healthy at first, but then it becomes easier -- almost second nature.

I hope this helps to answer your plea for support. This is what has worked for me, and I've lost over 150 pounds and this year will mark my 8th year of eating low carb. Once I got the notion into my head that I would eat this way for life, it became easy to do so.

You are right i have "come back" a few times but just like everyone i'm learning and learning to change my life takes time.. now when i say i've gained weight back i'm talking 15-20 pounds at my highest point. Not to mention who doesn't even someone who has a BMI of 17 want to lose a "few" extra pounds before there wedding? When you are starting nursing school, getting married and redoing a house in all about a 2yr (this May) period you don't exactly have "time" or the money to spend changing my lifestyle eating habits, completely. Honestly from the begining of my LC introduction i didn't know much and i've been learning more and more as i go on, I've also learned ways of being healthier and eating healthier, but obviously as we can all see i have not mastered it yet.
