Default great news!

Well, if anyone saw my first post you may remember why I started this LC WOE in the first place. Partially because I knew that it was time for me to lose the weight, and partially becuase my dad made me an offer that I couldn't refuse. Before coming back to college my dad told me that if I lost 30 lbs and kept it off for one month, he would buy me a car. Who wouldn't be motivated by that? and while it may have not been for all of the right reasons, I have been extremely motivated to do this. Well, as of yesterday I weighed myself, and guess what. the 30lbs are gone! I don't plan on stopping here, but this offer was definately a push in the right direction. So, one month from now, I will have lost more weight, and be driving around with my friends in my new car:jump: . Just wanted to share my success thus far. I couldn't be happier with this WOE, it has already changed my life.
thanks for all the support!

Great work, Jane! A healthier body and a new car what more could a college gal want! I'm sure you'll keep that weight off plus be able to tell him that you are going to contiue your great new way of eating.

Jane, That is awesome!
Hey, whatever it takes to motivate you...
I'm all for non-food reward-goals. Sadly, most of us don't put enough value on our health and well-being to lose the weight for that reason alone, so a little external motivation can be a good thing. Hopefully, once you realize how much healthier you are and how much better you feel, you will continue to lose/maintain for the simple reason of doing what's best for YOU.
But hey, a new car is pretty nice, too!
LOL,

I'm glad your dad was able to put the right incentive out there for you. I have a feeling he will gladly get you that car in a month from now. Us dads love to see our children succeed.
