Default Musings about this way of life

As I sit here eating my low carb warm morroccan chicken salad with spinach and mozzarella cheese balls with a couple of cherry tomatoes thrown in, I can honestly say that I don't know why I didn't do this before. 15 pounds are gone. I am not thinking of how much longer I have to go, just the day to day journey of getting there. I have tried just about every diet going, never being able to stick with them for very long due to hypoglycaemic reactions. I have spent plenty of time beating myself up about it emotionally. I have also had plenty of doctors and nurses making me feel bad about myself with their comments. The only advice I ever received from them was "quit eating." One doctor even went so far as to say to eat starches and candy bars when I was feeling ill from low blood sugar. So, my friends, we will all work together guiding and encouraging each other along the way. I just wanted to say how grateful I am to all of you for your inspiration. My husband says thanks too because he has never enjoyed my cooking so much and even though he is not fat, he has a lot more energy than he did when we was eating starches and sugar.

It's so good to hear testimony that low carb has helped someone so much, not so much the weight loss (although that's wonderful!), but just feeling so much better. Keep it up!

Fifteen pounds! That's great! I've lost 8 pounds so far and this is my fourth week. I love feeling healthier and I'm even losing weight too.

Keep up the good work.

Babystepping -- that is a great idea. I think I will look at it that way -- baby steps instead of how much I have to lose in the long run. Somebody at work actually asked me if I have lost weight today.
