Question dreamfields pasta

Okay, so I have been eating this pasta called dreamfields pasta. I am finding it a little bit hard to buy. It says that there are 5 grams of digestible carbs per serving. However the pasta tastes and looks EXACTLY like regular pasta.

The carb count according to the nutritional label is 45 grams per serving. Subtracting fiber still leaves you at over 40 per serving. Apparently the company modifies the carbs to have them turn to fiber in your bowels, thus not spiking your blood sugar.

Hmmm...

Has anyone had experience with dreamfields? I will say this: Having eaten it, I do not feel the same high/low that I experience with regular pasta and it does not stall my weight loss. Is it too good to be true?

Many people report that they have little problem with it.

For me, it's "pipedream" pasta. I test my blood glucose levels and, whatever magic they perform on the ingredients, it is not BGL friendly for me. My reaction is unacceptably high and for an extended period of time.

YMMV

I think it is definitely a YMMV thing. I do not have a problem or adverse reaction to it, so I use it. However, when I use it, I weigh the Dreamfields and only use a 2oz portion. This WOE is all about learning what works for you and what dosen't. If Dreamfields does not cause you an adverse reaction or cravings, and you can use it in moderation, then go for it.

I use Dreamfields on rare occasions. It's definitely not something I would eat everyday. And I always chop a minute off the cooking time. This pasta will have the same effect on one's BGL's for sure if you OVER cook it. (Which breaks down the carb encaspsulating process they do to it.) So to be on the safe side, I cook it a little LESS than the directions say. My hubby LOVES this pasta and will eat it instead of regular. I get mine from my local grocery stores as well as online from netrition.com. (Netrition ships ultra fast and has a flat hndlg fee!!!) I LOVE their lasagna noodles for making lasagna once in awhile. (when we aren't having a heat wave, that is )

Ok so here's my question the diet or eating lifestyle change I'm on is The Paleo Diet which allows you to eat more protein and really isn't what I would call a low carb diet so I'm guessing I can have this dreamfields pasta. My lifestyle change is still in the infancy stage and I have logged onto fitday.com to log my calorie eating which I never had a clue before and today I ate roughly 2,000 calories and with a 35 mile bike ride burned off I think it was 1600 some calories yipeeeeeee.
